Actually, that thread is for those members that left for a while and came back. A thread saying "Hi, I'm new." is encouraged so we can all get to know you.
I would include a bit more information though.

If you're female, I would not recommend posting a photo, some of the young guys here will end up making a 19,845 page thread on who you would date..........
