Heh. I got it in about 20 seconds. I had no clue what I was doing, so I just pictured it with the 80 degree angles on both sides and counted how many it'd be =p Aka, I basically just guessed, and got it right =p

easy as pi(math joke. lawlers). x and y can be forgotten for a minute and the idea of a polygon can be forgotten too

first of all. realize that the shaded shape has 4 sides and 4 angles has 360 degrees total in its angles. x + y = 80, therefore the two angles left must equal 280 and must each be 140 degrees. now for the big shape. remember that with each new side, the total amount of degrees in the shape increases by 180. now find a multiple of 140 that is also a multiple of 180. using a calculator and plugging in the various given solutions we can find that the number of sides if 9

Got it in under 30 seconds. I'm only in grade 11 precalc, this is supposed to be the hardest SAT math question? Wow blank:

actually i typed it the way i figured it out. sorry if you thought i was being pompous.
BOO HOO!!! I'LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN! WAHHH!!!
i never saw the solution. i only watched the first 5 seconds of the second video before i got fed up with the lag.

hunter, that question is definitely not above precal so quit boasting about how you're "only in precal". it's not a hard problem. it's just worded strangely

kinda funny, in the solution video he was giving 10 minutes to 10 high school students ( i think ) to solve the problem. only 1 of them got it right lol
