i think when you socket the eth shield with the socketing formula with the horadric cube it bugs it 4os.

thats about it, except it gives RANDOM sockets, then u just make an exile out of it...

I am assuming you mean an eth glitched shield. That is when you take an etheral shield (with no sockets) and socket it with the cube formula. The glitch is the 50% enhance defense from being etheral gets added a second time, so you can have like 450 def vortex before runewords (1.5-1.6K with exile.)If you are lucky enough to get 4os (and it can be anyhting from 1-4os) you can make a fantastic exile shield or sell it open for hrs. Finding an eth shield is hard enough and to get 4 sockets vs. 1, 2, or 3 means there are very few of these floating around.
there is no cube formula to remove sockets, just to empty them (permenantly destroys the gems/runes/jewels that were inside)

you got like a 4/5 chance of getting 4 socs soo that helps, but i'd say it would suck to get 1
