HELP question about clonehunter??? - geves - 05-09-2006
ok i downloaded clone hunter from the downloads section on this website.
"clone hunter v2.2 for 1.1b"
agian i'll repeat it. i got it from THIS site, in THIS sites download section from the mainpage.
i inputted all of the information it required me too i think.
anyways. so i start it up.. forgetting that i had a game of diablo 2 already minimized.
so it launches and logs in.
then it starts doing crazy stuff.
it drinks all of my potions, turns on my map (TAB), starts typing all kinds of numbers in the chat box.... i was just watching it like WTF?
is this a problem that occurs when there's already a d2 window open?
or did this thing just go balistic from being wrongly configured?
i was worried enough having to input my account/password...but now i'm really worried.

You need to be on any page with the Create button visible. You need to be running in windowed mode with the Res800 command. See my target effects guide (link in signature), and use the -w and -res800
After this is done, log in on a hell character and be on any page where the Create button is shown on the screen and let 'er rip. The autoit script is not smart, it just auto types and clicks.

ummm i don't see a sig.
and by any page with the create button on it. you m.ean the create button next to join, squelch, ect.. ?
so does that mean i don't have to input my account info & password?
EDIT: oh i had to be logged in to see your sig ><
oh and are you positive i have to play on these settings cuz in windowed mode. it's so dark i can't see a thing but my aura. and i can't adjust the gamma

The create button next to join, yes
You should be logged onto BattleNet before hand. You can be in a channel, not in the chat, veiwing the join screen, veiwing the create screen...
The bot clicks Create, then types in gamename and pass, checks the IP, if its off it waits the amount of time you set, then exits and repeats. If it is on it beeps and stays in the game.
As long as you are on a character that has done hell mode, and are not currently in a game, it should work fine. Use the -w and -res800 from my Target Effects Guide

It is called a false positive. You need to look at all of the scanners in general. Usually, only one scanner detecting it as a virus is not really a virus, just the company making a false positive (thinking that it is a virus when it is not). No antivirus is perfect, that is why he set up the site so people can compare the results of multiple scans and make better decisions.
When you get real viruses, they often set off 5-6 of those listed above. I assure you that D2CloneHunter is fine.
