Would this work..... - MOV ECX - 06-13-2006 I was sitting here at the computer, and I was thinking what to do with Diablo 2 and an idea popped in my head. What if we send out attack packets like crazy, not to do damage but to create enough lag to either close a game or to drop enough people out of the game. Just an idea, also if anyone can tell me if the games have an individual ip. Thanks! Would this work..... - trayne - 06-13-2006 MOV ECX Wrote:I was sitting here at the computer, and I was thinking what to do with Diablo 2 and an idea popped in my head. What if we send out attack packets like crazy, not to do damage but to create enough lag to either close a game or to drop enough people out of the game. Just an idea, also if anyone can tell me if the games have an individual ip. attack packets will cause damage anyways cause they relay through the cache. and the game on open is connected to your ip and they join through remote ports. so youd probably hurt yourself in the process. Would this work..... - A.D. - 06-13-2006 And the point of doing that would be to dupe? Or do you just wanna drop people from games for fun? (which is kinda pathetic..) Would this work..... - wm_hunter - 06-13-2006 A few months back, someone with a botnet of a lot of people (he sent them a trojan through a website or a chat client, and used them to spred the virus. The person could make them do certain things from an IRC channel he had set up) actually DOS attacked USEast (sent it many large packets in a short period of time to shut them down). You would need a lot of network power to do it, and I am sure since they have brought in better protection against this kind of thing. Would this work..... - trayne - 06-13-2006 that i sorta doubt. this is blizzard we're dealing with. them updating a server "correctly" is like saying aol is superior to most companies. which is both poorly false. heck. their way of securing was cutting off some connection lines which made the lag jump around alot more. with some packets, they have been using cox.net connections now which is worse than what they are using now. most packets that try to overload now will probably kill themselves now since most cox connections are dualband and not open...so the feedback is reversed. Would this work..... - tigeroip - 06-13-2006 well if u guys know about borgsdupe website and read how his dupe works then ull know (if hes telling the truth) that using pakcets is the only way to dupe and i believe that enough packets sent would cause the server to shut down, but ull be ****ed after they call ur isp Would this work..... - MOV ECX - 06-13-2006 yes this is a dupe that uses packfets but not sure if it work Well i got another question dose diablo 2 use any id's to identify the player? if dose anyone have any method to find the id of a player? Information about that program when your on a closed realm in a game you simply get to the item you wish to dupe and simply pick it up alt tab out of the game run my wrapper/program. Then alt tab back to the game and you then simply click anywhere on the floor and your item will drop but it will be as you never dropped it and you just keep clicking on the ground to dupe. The fact that they released no offical report on it, and the fact that it had a message as if they could not connect to the BattleNet servers, where it has a different message if it is an actual update (I can't remember the exact messages, I think I may have posted them somewhere). The real hacker had control of over 1500 people through a botnet, he was using them to spam Diablo II US-West Tech Support. The post to the little shit that says he knew the guy that did it is here. As I mentioned in one post, the real hacker was spamming the chat about it. The person probably does not know the person, he just saw the spam and was the first to report back about it. It is not for sure, but it is certainly the best theory out there. EDIT: Sending packets using programs such as Xsend will get you banned instantly. I know there is a packet to get another person to hit accept in a trade window, coolest one anyone has reported about. Would this work..... - madderThanu - 06-14-2006 Blind leading the blind. For anyone who actually is interested, ignore everything in this thread. Would this work..... - wm_hunter - 06-14-2006 Forgot to mention in the post, he shut down the servers by having the botnet do a Denial of Service (DOS) attack. Would this work..... - MOV ECX - 06-14-2006 I know what botnet is, I even have some bots that spread to get user’s but I do not use them for any attacks cause it is to risky. Also dose anyone have maybe Diablo 2 debug database, in that file all classes, methods, arguments, returntypes and even argument names. Let me know thanks! |
