MH question after latest mini patch - Dametrus - 07-16-2006 I have read that Gmerc has been patched. I am just wondering if it is still safe to use MH's (I understand that there is always a risk). I am just making sure that Warden is not running (if there is even a way to tell). Thanks in advance for the help. Dametrus MH question after latest mini patch - PoTatoes - 07-16-2006 it is probably safe (not stings plugin but i still use so watever) stings, easy play lite, easy play gold, and mousepad's mh r all probably safe. blizz just patched gmerc which is true, but doesnt mean their running warden 24/7 MH question after latest mini patch - Bloodangel26 - 07-16-2006 try it and tell us...how would we know more than you? MH question after latest mini patch - BaalSlayer - 07-16-2006 I'm sure it's safe. I would be more concerned if they patched it. MH question after latest mini patch - Ares - 07-17-2006 stings is 100% safe without the plugin continue to use.. untill the MAJOR patch,,,, 1.12a MH question after latest mini patch - wm_hunter - 07-18-2006 The way Stings detects stuff makes it safe probably until the end of D2 servers (unless they do a massive overhaul on the way they pick the map). When you use the autoreveal it takes a look at the town and surrounding areas and it knows what the map is. Whenever D2 loads it only uses maybe a few dozen map setups for each act. Stings takes advantage of this by freezing the game for a second, looking, revealing and unfreezing. MH question after latest mini patch - Potter - 07-18-2006 Yah I hijacked this thread but its already about Sting's so I figure eh why start a new one. Whenever I used to load it & click on the window the text identifying the window would disappear thus circumventing the "GetWindowA" functionality of Warden. But it won't do that anymore..I haven't changed the "stealth" setting or any others for that matter..so I dunno what the dilly is. MH question after latest mini patch - PoTatoes - 07-18-2006 1.12a? where u get that from? blizzard hasnt reported about another patch just yet....and plus WoW is growing so fast y waste their time on us,, MH question after latest mini patch - Ares - 07-18-2006 Da_Pwner Wrote:1.12a? where u get that from? blizzard hasnt reported about another patch just yet....and plus WoW is growing so fast y waste their time on us,,why? ill tell you why because if they close diablo a LOT OF fans will be unhappy and protest and they wont play wow or brood war or any blizzard game.. so if not enough people play blizz is gonna cry becuase they dot make 200 million a year or something.. but yeah they cant close diablo servers unless they wunna pay millions for it. MH question after latest mini patch - The_Klaggel2 - 07-18-2006 Quote:ill tell you why because if they close diablo a LOT OF fans will be unhappy and protest and they wont play wow or brood war or any blizzard game I'm glad you've got the info/sources to back that up.... D2 is like ZORK in comparison to WOW. Not many people at all play diablo. In fact, more people play that game that EVERYONE slams on, runescape, than diablo. Number of people on Battle.net as of me writing this: 169,000. Number of people on runescap as of me writing this: 175,000. I don't even think I need to look at WOW to know that it dwarfs both of those (but if someone does and finds I'm wrong, please do say so). What I'm getting at is that diablo2 is old, people are moving on, and seriously, it wouldn't make 2cents of a difference to blizz if they just dropped it entirely. More likely than not, if they did drop d2, they would probably make more money in the sense that they wouldn't have so many wasted resources floating around. They could devote more people/time to other MUCH more profitable/successful projects. |
