My hero edited characters always freeze when loading into single player.. I always have to end up making a new guy... Is there anyway to prevent this?

No, it just doesn't go into the game and I have to manualy shutdown the pc. It wont join any open games either..

How much did you modify the character? you can try opening each item and clicking on the button to test each item for errors; if you have multiple stats on one item that are the same (like +all skills or whatever for the exact same stat that just adds +all skills) it may error. If your sound is on when you start up a character and you hear a little chime when you're going to open and it's frozen, you should just be able to press ALT+F4 or press the little Start Icon between the Ctrl and Alt keys and end Game.exe to end the task. Anyways, yeh the whole entire thing about overly-hacked items would probably be my guess as to why you are having errors.

sounds like you were loading and it got stuck on load or went black. that can be from many things. chances are your using states that shouldnt be used such as delay death or uninterruptible.
other reason might be an aura that shouldnt be used. i forget which it is. its either bloodmana or impregnate. one of the 2 also cant be used as a state either cause that causes that to happen too.
