Firefox 2.0 has officially released. It will not automatically download from 1.5.x versions, so please check out the Firefox site to download.
I will upgrade my Firefox guide on of theses days for 2.0, but it seems no one read the thing anyway.

one day i'll use firefox. i have it on this computer but i dont use it. the other computers use internet explorer but i use maxthon. works like firefox but with half the plugins. i found most plugins werent being used so i searched for something i would get the most use out of.

Not really, it was in RC2 about 5-6 days ago? It was released somewhere in that time frame, probably within the last three days, if not sooner. (Too lazy to look for actual release date).
Trayne I have heard decent things about Max... If I had to use a different alternative to IE I would probably use Opera. A little more secure then firefox, but less features add-ons or compadabillity. (My guess is because it is less targeted by hackers then Fox is due to browser use %s).

i just downloaded it. don't have many extensions but only one that didn't work was fasterfox. my theme worked too.
just wondering, the new add-on list they have, will all those work for firefox 2.0 or does it still need to be updated?

As the days go by is probably more common, but I have heard both.
FasterFox is rather popular, maybe there is a problem updating from the older version and I would check Mozillas site..
Btw: Everything FasterFox does you can do in about:config, Google for more info. You can check my guide but it only lists FireTune which is only compatable with 1.x, as well as pipelining. There are more.
