internet explorer 7, outlook express with enhanced rss. few security updates. about 14+ patches for vista. their new office program is good but sucks up memory like a virus. driver updates i believe are released during the new year. there should be a windows media update soon.

xp should be around for awhile till they get another version of vista that works correctly. Vista is still in its beta form tho its already out. explorer 7 is also in beta form. Theres talk that they are going to broaden out vista into 1-2 other categories like they did with XP. XP Corp is pretty good. they thinned out the cache issue and the settings. Media edition is switching to home edition and pro edition. in the middle of 2007 according to a few ppl in seattle and tacoma

a new Lan motherboard should be out in newyears. intel xeon duo, intel xeon core 2 duo, amds new chipset should be out before april 1st. foxconn and crucial are both making new parts..motherboards, ddr3 memory, etc. but they are unsure when. newer motherboards are expanding their onboard parts to be larger due to the increase in requriements and they are attempting to build powerful speedbased hardware with low power. ati is also in the process of building a duo based video card.

nope. they just took a new direction with it. instead of normally counting speed, they took it with 2 levels of speed and a cache readoff.

Yea, im getting a new pc once pci express 2.0, amd quad core, nvidia 8800gt, and windows vista comes out. they all should coem out at the same time in 2007 so ill be ready. Ill probabluy hold off and d/l pro x64 but yea, these items are worth waiting to get. If too expensive, ill stick with a dual core
