DarkyO_o's 1.11 PvP Trap Assasin - Espada - 10-27-2006 Heres a pvp trapper guide 1.11 Trap Assasin When synergy was introduced the trap assasin started shining in 1.10 cause of the damage boost and the extremely lethal skill lightning sentry. Topped with mind blast nothing can really stand in her path. Employing secret disciplines to combat and resist the magical abilities of their elusive quarry, the Assassin's bag of tricks includes traps and other infernal devices, martial arts, and powerful mental abilities. Common people know nothing of the Assassins, but they are widely feared and respected by all who employ the magic arts. ~~~Table of Contents~~~ *Introduction *Build *Gear *Skills *Dueling *PvM *Breakpoints *Thanks ~~~Introduction~~~ Pros *excellent trap damage *With a perfect setup or if you follow my guide you can *achieve up to 14k+ trap damage *great team duel member *don't need to get up close in combat Cons Absorbing or immune kills you ~~~Build~~~ ~~Stats~~ Strength: None Dexterity: None (use weapon block please no hoto or spirit) Vitality:All Energy:Zero ~~~Gear~~~ Helm: Assasin Circlet- get a 3/20 coronet or circlet. Socket with 2 shaels for maximum effectiveness Alternatives: Shako- If you can't get your hands on one of those circlet use this. Armor: Enigma- Good for teleport, life boost and massive strength this should be your only option cause teleport and str is really vital in this build. Weapon: Witchhunters Greater Talon of Quickness- Best claw for a trapper since it gives +2 assasin. Look for a +lightning sentry/mindblast mod socket these with 2x shael for faster trap laying speed or go for a rare claw with +assasin and trap skills Secondary Claw: Same as weapon 1 Weapons on switch: Call To Arm- Always great to boost your life. [SIZE=2]Spirit/Lidless/Splendor- Use this to boost bo skill [/SIZE]Gloves: Crafted IAS gloves- Go for this to boost your trap laying abilities. If this is too much bloodfists is the replacement. [SIZE=2]Alternative: Magefists/Trangs- If you go for fcr instead of ias then use anyone of these two. Mage gives additional mana regen while trang gives a 30% cold resist. [/SIZE]Belt: Arachnid Sash- Ultimate Caster Belt Alternatives: Crafted Caster Belt- You shouldn't need this since Arachnid Sash covers up the +skill and fcr but the +str can be helpful. Boots: Eth Sandstorm Treks- +vit +str stats are helpful. Alternatives: Imp Shanks- For the extremely rich people who can still afford dupes after the rest of the gears stated. Use this for +str/fhr/resist. Amulet: Crafted/Rare Assasin Amulet- Your everyday godly amulet since it gives +skill fcr resist and if lucky +str Alternatives: Maras Kaleidoscope- Great for a backup. +Trap- Get a +3 Trap or any with +skill and fcr Ring 1: Stone of Jordan- Mana +skill what more do casters need this would be even better with fcr ![]() Ring 2: Fcr ring- Get one with good mods like +str Charms: Assasin Torch- aim for 20/20 assasin torches are cheap these days Annilihus- Same as Torch 9x Trap Skillers with Life- Big damage boost Fill the rest of your inventory with +life or resist small charms. Stash Rising Sun - Fire Absorb 2x Dwarf Star - Fire Absorb 2x Wisp Projector - Light Absorb (if you have to) 2xRaven Frost - Cold Absorb (if you have to) Hotspur - Fire Absorb Tgods - Light Absorb Ideal Gear Setup Helm: 3/20 Circlet Armor: Enigma Weapon 1: Witchhunters Greater Talons of Quickness or is it Swiftness?!?!?! Weapon 2: Same as weapon 1 Weapon/Switch: Cta/Spirit Gloves:Wizardspike Gloves Amulet: Duped +skill fcr Ammy Belt: Arachnid Sash Ring 1: Stone of Jordan[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]Ring 2: Rare FcR or SoJ[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]Boots:Imp Shanks/Wraith Brands[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]Inventory: Assasin Torch 20/20,Annihilus,9x Trap Skillers [/SIZE]~~~Skills~~~ Trap 20 - Light Sentry - Your other main attack 20 - Death Sentry - Synergy 20 Charge Bolt Sentry - Synergy 20- Shock Web - Synergy Shadow Discipline Get a claw with mind blast or place 1 in here Weapon Block- Rest Burst of Speed- 1 Cloak of Shadows- 1 Shadow Master- 1 Martial Arts None ~~~Duels~~~ Amazons: Bowzons - Hard since she'll be running alot. Thank god for weapon block since it can block some arrows. Teleport around the direction shes facing. Get in so you can see her right on the edge of your screen. place traps on top of her and spam mb. she'll go down pretty fast since #1: she has no shield #2: she will most likely have low resist. Javazons - Just don't let her get close. Place a few traps in front of you spam mb if you need to and dodge those lightning furys. Farcast Javazons - how dare she/he abuse a program for duels. stand in a corner put traps a few distance ahead of you and just wait since thats all you can do. Or strap on tgods/2x wisp to make sure that he'll never use a program to help him cheat in a duel ever again Paladins: FoHers - Be quick and don't let him get away. If he goes outside first get out of town spam a few mb on him before laying traps, lay traps around him and continue to spam mb. if you get out first namelock mb him and spam mb. dont forget to chase him incase he gets too far. if you lose constantly consider putting on a little more light resist. Hammerdins - easy duel just don't be stupid and chase him if he's a desyncher. if hes a camper it'll be easy picking but desynchers will be doing alot of moving. spam mb to keep him in place and throw some traps around him. Smiters - All you need to worry about is life tap. But good manner smiters will never do that. mind blast is always helpful since these guys never stay in place. Throw a few traps and combined with mb and smiters won't stay alive for very long. If he happens to tap you tele out and far away until life tap wears off then you can go get him again. Zealer - Duel these as you would have dueled vs a smiter. except only good part is no life tap as this is uncommon with zealers. not getting hit from these guys would be great. FoH/Smiter - Stop him from moving cause both smite and foh are painful combined with charge. like fohers and smiters, mind blast lay traps around him and keep spamming. Auradin - What a joke for a pvp. Mind blast to teach him to never run from a trapper and lay some traps around him. Guarantee easy death since he will have no resist gear. Necromancers: Summon Necs - Spam to uneven the summons or to stun the whole pack and lay your traps out. He should go down without having to throw down more traps. Bone Necs - Watch out for bone spears/spirit. Never underestimate these guys but mb and lightning sentry will stop his constant teleing. Poison Necs (Bramble) - He can't get close so no mb is needed. Lay your traps in front of you. Barbarians: Warcry Barb - Just don't let him stun lock you with his warcry. Instead stunlock him with your mindblast and he should eventually go down. Notice that he has extremely high amount of life and resist. BvC - Can i say that he's a beast. His leap+ww+desynch is like your worst enemy. Good thing you can mb lock him and lay traps around him. If he manages to get in tele away as quick as possible but not too far. When he is out of ww animation repeat your step and he'll eventually go down. BvB - Not hard since he has less damage but way more resist. Duel him like a bvc. Druids: Wind Druid - Avoid touching hurricane or tornado duh?!?!?! mb lock him and since druids have horrible fhr and combined with traps he should go down. This duel might take a while since cyclone armor absorbs some damage but in the end you should be the victor. Armageddon Druid - Spam mb tele away if he cast fissure throw a few traps out and he's dead. Shapeshift Druid - They run too much so its not that much fun. Throw a few traps and be a good sport since he's melee but if he has high light resist start mind blast and namelocking. Sorceress: Fireball Sorc - extremely hard because yes she will stay away but those bolt/balls are long range and can hit you from afar. Its time for you to be on the offensive. Dodge those bolts/balls mindblast and throw traps around her. I doubt that she will have high resist gear since her gear are mostly +skill. Lightning Sorc - once again dodge those high damage skills. but this time its a 50/50 since its like 1-40k? dont get hit by thunderstorm that much. mb+namelock and throw down your traps to stop her from getting away. Blizz Sorc - Don't let her namelock you cause thats bad news for you. Anyways if she decides to blizz herself mindblast throw a few traps around her and she wont last that long. Orb Sorc - of course don't get hit by a full orb. put on 1 ravenfrost so you won't be frozen. mb and trap to finish her. Assasins: Kicker - Throw traps around her and she should go down fast. Combine with mb if she has fade on. Whirlwind/Hybrid Assasin - Don't get even 1 hit vs these girls cause they have massive poison damage, open wound, and traps to back them up. You must be the first to mind blast cause if she mind blasts+namelock+whirlwind its lights out for you. Trapper - Better trap placement and first to get a namelock mb is the winner [SIZE=5]PvM[/SIZE] Act 2 Mercenary Weapon: Infinity- Helps your Trap damage Armor: Fortitude/CoH/Shaftstop Helm: Vamp Gaze/Giant Skull/CoA [SIZE=5]Breakpoints Trap speeds to aim for Trap laying IAS Frames 0 % 13 5 % 12 16 % 11 34 % 10 63 % 9 Fhr Breakpoint 0% 9 7% 8 15% 7 27% 6 48% 5 86% 4 200% 3 Fbr Breakpoint 0% 5 13% 4 32% 3 86% 2 600% 1 Fcr Breakpoint 0% 16 8% 15 16% 14 24% 13 42% 12 65% 11 102% 10 174% 9 [/SIZE]Conclusion: Thanks for reading and please any problems or anything that needs to be fixed would be greatly appreciated. DarkyO_o's 1.11 PvP Trap Assasin - FraterPerdurabo - 01-09-2007 Dude, this guide of your's is very weak. Skills: What about Fade or BoS? And Shadow Master? Gear: Claws: Why magical claws? Why not use rare ones? If you're going to go for +2 assa then rare claws would be a much better option. Additionally, list the stats of your dupes, since they are different from realm to realm. I know that you are capable of much better guides. This one just sucks. Please tidy it up. |
