Smiter Vs Foh - FallenIIV - 02-22-2007 Hey I don't know what build to make I am mostly going to be pvp'ing I have all necessary items needed and don't know which build is better etc please give your input cheers ![]() Smiter Vs Foh - Joshy - 02-22-2007 Fohers are good pkers but expect people to sorb you. Make a v/t or better yet, a libby. Smiter Vs Foh - FraterPerdurabo - 02-23-2007 V/T > Smite > FoH Smiter Vs Foh - Mathalamus - 02-23-2007 make a FOH or a smiter, whichevers better Smiter Vs Foh - Ares - 02-23-2007 I would do foh.. You can throw CoA on him and eth hoz zoded so you end up with max block/dr and still 7+ dmg ![]() Plus how do you sorb with Conviction? Smiter Vs Foh - Joshy - 02-23-2007 Invisible Wrote:I would do foh..Very easy. Orted p kiras = 100 light res a few 11lr/20life scs = 55 light res two good dual lr res rings = 80 lr tgods for sorb, 4x ptopaz monarch = 160 lr or a 45 all res 4x ptopazed pally shield = 205 lr. All of these items are cheap to get except the 20life 11lr scs. These items = press esc foher. That is why its better to make a v/t but I prefer libbys over any other pally build they can use powerful charge 11k hammers and can even use pretty fair smite damage if needed. Smiter Vs Foh - hellsing293 - 02-24-2007 I haven't played D2 online in a while, what's a v/t and a libby? I'd say go foh because if people don't have sorb gear they're owned. Smiter Vs Foh - Bartender - 02-24-2007 Make a hammerdin, 125 fcr, a belt of 16x juvs - all you need. a 45 all res 4x ptopazed pally shield = 205 lr - Gris shield is 3 or 4 soc, use 4 ptopaz in that, lot cheaper. Smiter Vs Foh - hellsing293 - 02-24-2007 Isn't potting in duels considered bm though? Actually, its even easier than Joshy's explanation, I had a Ele druid that could pwn fohers, all I'd do is put 2 wisps on and then use cyclone shield, keep cyclone shield on as right click(use it every time your hit) and tornado his ass while keeping hurricane on. .....and I hardly put ANY effort into making him, I could have made a lot better of one. My cyclone could sorb about 2k damage. I think I managed to have close to max resists also. (use Sanctuary shield if you need it, but I think I just used a Spirit shield.) This also worked pretty good VS. any element. But chargers/smiters/barbs/hammerdins all could beat me without a sweat. So it just depends on what kind of char you plan on fighting, I do think Fohers are more fun though. Due to the PvP penalty, FoH damage without Conviction is so low that it takes a few good hits to lose your Cyclone. A libby is a hybrid pally that uses strong charge damage strong hammer damage and can do average smite damage if there using grief. Actually, I just used sorb and max resists IN CASE my shield went down, and yes, it took a couple hits from FOH to remove my shield, but for every FOH hit I'd take I could cast my shield multiple times. There were times when my shield went down in like 2 hits and I got slightly hurt from it. Smiter Vs Foh - Bartender - 02-25-2007 FraterPerdurabo Wrote:Not if you're 11. I'm 12 afk slitting. Also, who the **** cares if your pubbing. Smiter Vs Foh - Dan - 02-25-2007 depends on your style, either way you'll be called a noob because you would either charge ppl to kill them as smiter, or be called a noob for using foh. foh is really easy to sorb for barbs and pallys though, so it depends on your style of fighting. run away, spam a skill, run some more, or hold down shift and spam another attack. My druid never got damaged from an auradin or a foher before, ever. You just gotta be quick on your feet recasting. You dont even need stack/sorb/res gear on a druid when your dueling a foher or a auradin. Even if they gmod you still got a huge advantage. Smiter Vs Foh - Bartender - 02-25-2007 Lol? It's the internet. I could care less if I bmed in a gm duel. Even if they gmod you still got a huge advantage. 2 fohs your dead if they gmod, 1 to wreck your cyclone armor, second to wreck you. Auradin don't do shit because the aura doesn't change where it damages because gmod's on. Gmod smiter = wreckage to a druid. They can name lock you in an instant but if you don't gmod w/ smiter you have to fan the drood out to get nl. Smiter Vs Foh - Fykins - 02-25-2007 Gmod is that auto name-lock crap right? Even if they did name-lock you, they would probably still loose, they still have a cool down for Foh. My druid could always take the blunt of 2 hits, he might have gotten damaged a little bit, but it would take 3-4 hits without recasting my shield to kill me. I had around 2.3k health without a CTA (my spirit on me tho). If I didn't sorb I wouldn't have been able to even try to live through a FOH without my sheild and conv on me. Most FOHers I fought would either try to or accidentally kill my spirit which would cut my health down to around 1-1.4k (can't remember exact figures), but that is easily recast as well. If a Foher is far away, but still tries FOH you with name lock, you could do 1 of 2 things, stand in 1 spot and cast cyclone rapidly, or teliport too him (if you know where he is, otherwise go to town) while still trying to manage your cyclone. Both are pretty easy to pull off. I never used any hacks or anything to pvp, not even maphack, and people who do might as well be potting because its still an unfair advantage. What kind of pvp match is it if the guy runs away and hits you from like 2 screens away? Thats almost as gay as that .09 Zon habit of dashing outa town then firing guided/multi arrows from a distance with an inventory full of duped 100 psn scs. |
