Soo.. I have a few questions about stat distribution and gear for my smiter..
Only definite gear I have so far:
343/32 Grief PB, (136 dex req)
Kurast Exile.. (124 str req)
-Sad I know.. But I'm a little broke right now, and can't afford the dracs, gore riders, highlords, and dungos that I need but what should I then use for rings.. 2 raven frosts for 30-40 dex?
*So basically I'm asking: How to distribute my stats, and what other gear would be for sure needed?*
I need a setup with good res, enough dex for grief, and enough str for exile.. and then should I use fort (27 res), or a nigma?
Any help would be greatyl appreciated, and if anyone could help me out in getting my gear.. West Ladder, that'd be amazing.

if ur using this smiter for pvm then i would drop the exile. But do a str bug. add as much str as u need for ur 1st peice of equipment and let your equipment give u strength. U need all your remaining points into vitality. yes smiters can cast lifetap but it does you no good if u have 1100hp where a monster/person can kill u in 2 hits before lifetap can be casted.

Here is my smiter;
(kinda high for my armor)
Strength- 120
Dexterity- 140
Vitality- Everything left
Energy- None
Grief PB- 39/392 (Or Last Wish pb)
Eth Vortex Exile(44res)- Use a Hoz unless you can get a real nice eth exile
Kira's(70res/Fal rune)- Good for res stacking
Guardian Angel(Eth/Up'd/2023Def/Zod)- For Max res, or use CoH for res.
Verdungo's(39/12%dr)- You can use Tgod for sorb and str
Dracul's(15 str)- You need dracs.
Gore riders(199%)- Don't all smiters use this?
Highlord's- Definite for uber smiters
Raven frost- Good for dex
Dwarf Star- To lazy to put something else on him. Good for Sorb though.
Anni(20/16/10)- Duh?
Torch-(13/19)- I like high res for stacking, but stats are more important
Mixture of Fhr, Resistance, and life charms.
I take down ubers with no problem and my res are white after meph's conviction aura.

Only other problem with that is.. I can't get an anni, unless I get lucky and just stumble upon one in a free game or something... My exile isn't greatest, but at the same time.. It wouldn't be much easier to use an hoz.. they're pretty spendy as well. Kira's, I'm not sure how I'll get unless I get lucky while mfing.. Never found one before though.. Either way, I'll try for Kira's, while still trying to get dracs, gores, dungos, highlords, and the like.. any other ideas from anyone?

The dracs(Life Tap), gores and highlord's are almost a must. If you don't have much; I would go with guardian angel(or CoH or Duriel's shell if your super poor ), shako, w/e rings you can. The only reason I have so much strength is for the upped GA. If you don't have anni/torch you can use str or res charms or put more into strength using stat points.
If you play USeast/Ladder/SC I could hook you up with some items.

Well, you're kind of screwed, because you said that you cannot afford more, but messed up with some important gear choices. This is what I'd recommend that you do, for Ubers:
Helm: Kira's Ort
Amulet: Mara's (normally Highlord for the +IAS% so that you get last breakpoint with Grief BA, but since you're using PB [lol] you might as well go for Mara)
Weapon: Grief BA (a: has no DEX req so loads of more life, b: Way more range [3 as opposed to 1], which is very, very important vs. Ubers)
Armor: Fortitude (Normally Enigma would be the better choice because of FRW%, but since you don't move much in Trist, go for Fortitude for more resistances and damage)
Shield: Exile (even as much as I hate this shield, it's the best for Ubers)
Gloves: Dracul's (normally a definate no for a Smiter, these are the best gloves for a Trist Smiter)
Boots: Goreriders (normally a meh, but fine for PvM)
Ring1: Raven Frost
Ring2: Wisp / Dwarf Star (once again, not usual Smiter rings, but not bad for PvM)

At the time, I don't have any runes to go buy some stuff.. but I just need to mf for a while, and I'll be on the right track.

And Frater, you didn't mention a belt.. I'm guessing Dungo's would be only good option?

I'm pretty sure I can do it, its just gonna take me a bit of time, but then again, I wasn't planning on having everything by the time my smiter was leveled and ready to go. Just got to mf for a while, and hope I can get some good deals.
