ISO Help With My Last Uber Smiter - Ragnarhox - 03-27-2007

I am building my last account right now since I do not play all that much. Putting all my chars and one account so it is more manageable. Now I already have an uber smiter but have not really spent much work giving the best gear.

What will be one him;
Kira's Guardian (70 resistance)
Eth Upped Guardian Angel (Zod)
Eth Vortex Exile (15 aura, all resistance +44)
Dracul's Grasp (+15 to str)
Raven Frost (177, +19 dex (I have better just not on him yet))
Annihilus (20/16/10)
Torch (Pally/13/19) Or a (Pally/15/15)
Various Resistance Charms

The items in question are:
Gores (199%)
Highlord's Wrath
Grief (39, 392)/ Last wish (61%) (probably LW)
Second Ring (thinking Wisp for sorbing although not really needed)
Belt

For the belt I was kinda thinking(listed below); because I want to put them to use.

Any suggestions on the questionable gear? This pally is very resistance stacked for the build. When I'm next to meph my resistance are white; except for psn which is maxed some how.

id use the stone fringe. more def and just about everything else is good. the trade of course is the cold and light resis, but in hell you can never get enough of fire resis imo

your highlords should cover the light resis for the belt

Had to edit that. The second belt only has 10%fr I believe. Plus with using that belt I could get rid of a few Fhr sc and put some res charms there.

Using gorerider on this smiter is definately a plus, unless you have accesses to those massively duped boots which also includes a tremendous boost of resist on him. You should get rid of highlord's wrath and replaces it with mara's kaleidoscope. First of all, if you are using Grief Phase Blade, you'd have enough IAS by the sword and runeword itself to hit a certain desirable breakpoint of smite. Second, deadly strike doesn't affect smite (I believe so). So not much but an 1 skill boost from highlord's wrath. I strongly recommand mara's kaleidoscope due to its 20-30 resist boost, which helps a lot. If your resists have not reached the gold text state while near mephisto's conviction aura, what's the point of those 15% to maximum resist attribute bonus? You should use chains of honor, but I guess guardian angel works too with its increase block rate bonuses. You don't really need last wish if you are only using it for the extra crushing blow and might aura. If you need fade, leave a treachery armor in stash, you should benefit almost the same. Your second ring, anything that adds life for that matter works. You might want to use wisp though mephisto's lightning attacks are somewhat underestimated by most people, just a consideration. As for the belt, I'd use the first one. Although its only missing two strength from the second belt, it provides nice a nice resist boost to light and cold, which mephisto would mostly use. I don't see much monster uses fire other than those skeleton magi that throws fireballs. When your close to uber diablo, he does not use fire much, and life tap can regain what you've lost quite efficiently. Sorry for typing up such a huge chunk of text, but my fingers just kept typing. If I provided any inaccurate information, please say so.

I will probably use the second belt w/ 20 strength.
As for why I use the Ga;
1) The Bonus to res helps when meph dies, or for the pre uber bosses
2) 2k defence is nice

I will find something better than highlords. Probably do some as I do not have a maras.

I think I'll go with Grief. At least try that for a while. Not like it's hard witching them.

I would have stuck with last wish. If i were you i would have used the first belt although i think that you have that squared away. Highlord's ammy is nice. Gores are godly for smiters, so your build should own ubers. good luck

Yeah I know. I've done ubers before but I wanted to hardcore rape them, real horrorshow like.

I did ubers today since I had 4-5 organ sets left. Don't remember the first torch, but the next two were pally. The last one I did I got a 19/19 necro. Some reason I have good luck w/ torches. Still one set left but I'll save it for another time.

wow.. that is pretty sick. even with his, what, lvl 20 convict your still maxed. and you have really good luck with torches lol
