i dunno what is up with this but lots of ppls accouts are being hacked....
my friend and mine were haakced and when we got on today(May 17) all our characters were cleared of all there items
*thinks about his enigma* ..... we have no idea what happend but the same thing happend to both of us....can some one help us and tell us how this happend?

Well, I hope you were not using any sort of program, such as maphack, or anything. Those sometimes have backdoor hacks which enables the reciever to "recieve" your information, such as passwords, account names, etc. If you were currently using a program like that than it is too late. You play legit, you earn legit things, and you keep you legit stuff.

About 3 of my friends got hack in April - May already....
EDIT: They don't use any kind of program by the way.

If it was on US West then I have to inform you that something is going on, and Blizzard doesn't seem to be making any motion towards it. Apparently accounts daily are being "cleaned out" due to a program. I have no idea what it is, but it might be a backdoor program that got out of control. For now, if you feel like playing with godly characters, play by yourself or with a TRUSTED friend [like one you know personally]. Avoid public games with these godly characters. But if you need to lvl up others, equip weak items and dont brag about any godly items [like enigma or hoto or whatever] and just leech along. Sooner or later this will be solved.

doesnt matter my account on east also got stolen (thats the better one) and then i checked west that was also messed up....
i got it from d2hax.com
my friend says it has a keylog .........if it does how do i get rid of the key log?

Ah, I scanned one of those, it was infected with TrojanDropped.Win32.Small.u.
Scan your computer and remove it.
Don't just download anything from everywhere, if you don't know for sure, you can PM me and I can check it out, if you want to.

i don't think the clearner detects and/or removes keyloggers...run spybot search and destroy,and install AVG anti-virus (its free)
as "etanol" said don't dl things from just any site espically cheezy sites like that one everything on there is prolly either trojan or keyloged

k thanks everyone .... but is there any way i can figure out who got in my account and took all my items?
EDIT- this is a pretty noobie question i bet but can keyloggers log other passwords other than d2??? like if my mom tries to log into her bank account or my email ?

You can remove everything that Spybot comes up with. I haven't had any problems with it. You can also make backup of all the files.
After you got trojaned, if they connected to your computer right away and started keylogger, they get everything after that, until you remove the trojan.

This is scary. I wonder if this has anything to do with the spam that says "go to www.d2hacks****, It made me godly!!" going around in the chat rooms.
Thank god I know my way around computers, Just the other day when i logged on i got a "80 failed login attempts since 8:47 yesterday" thing. Good ol long number passwords.

If someone is spamming some site in B.net chatrooms it's 99,99% trojan or something else. Why would anyone wan't you to use maphack, dupes or anything like that and even spam it? They would be using it themself, or probably posted it on some forum. It's just bullshit.
