it seems to me that everyone who plays online games loves techno and trance
so pretty much the trance crowd is teenage boys with loads of acne, who drink gallons of monster per day
i do enjoy going to raves and im a big fan of armin van and paul van
but i will not call it music
if a computer makes it and doesnt require any skill or actual instruments then it is not music
same with emo and screamo

I wouldn't go so far to try a and dissaprove of an entire genre when allthough trance is terrible, Techno is a larger term, Lot's of artists use instruments to make samples, And that requires some skill, half of them also produce their own work and have extensive knoweldge of mixing and sound recording technology.
Stick up a better arguement.

You're right.....because you don't like something, it's not legitimate music. Although it takes quite a bit of skill to make it, even if it's computer generated. Besides, emo and screamo use real instruments too, want to me why they aren't legitimate?
I hate most rap music, the lyrics aren't deep, and it's all about sex, but I still recognize it as music....

Actually, mixing does take quite a skill. It takes a while to learn how to mix good. I can't really call it music, more like beats. I still enjoy it though

I am 16. I do not like Techno and Trance. Some teens do like Techno and Trance and ARE kind of annoying, but not all of them. I do find that stating that Techno and Trance are NOT music a little too harsh. I like Hip-Hop and Rnb. =]

umm guys. last i checked. anything with a pitch or a key is called music. it doesnt matter how its made of what its made with. u can bang pots and pans together and it would be music. not good but still music. so maybe u should rephrase your thing to trance/techno isnt good music. i like it cause like someone said earlier its not easy to make a good techno song like sandstorm or something. it does take skill just like it does to make rap or metal or rock or yes even emo. but i dispise emo. yet its still music

A computer does not create techno, a computer provides the beats available to the user. The user then uses the beats in a creative order just like any music (well most anyways.) Henceforth, techno is music.

Mush head is right man. Anything and everything is music. You step out your front door and if you listen close you can hear it. Just because you don't like something doesnt mean it isn't good. It just means you don't like it. Just because you don't like techno or emo or screamo doesn't mean it isn't music, it's just not right for you. Emo or screamo isnt about ****ing shredding on guitar. I don't really know what its about... I guess whose voice can go the highest or trying to be really cute and getting groupies. Who cares, its music despite whether they have sweep arpeggio solos or not. Maybe they're not as talented as Led Zeppelin, but I personally can't stand that faggots voice. Page was great though.
Understand that different genres of music are there for different purposes and just because YOU don't like it, doesn't mean the guy next to you doesn't. I don't like country, or this shitty rap about drugs and alchohol and bitches. BUT I RESPEECT IT. 1.techno/trance/house/Dn'B/breaks/hardcore/ etc. -It all takes musical theory
to write and uses the same chords,scales,modes and song structure, that any
other genre's use. WTF? u think u can just push a computer button and BOOM!
its made.? NO! electronic music is made several different ways:
keyboards,trackers,groove boxes,sound modules,software synth,vst and
midi controllers. As far as these cheap "loop" programs only noobs and stupid
people who think they can play guitar use these for a backing track. These are NOT used to make "real" electronic music. So yes electronic music does use
live intrutments, appartly yall have never been to a samash or any other instrutment store
