I am in Dire need of a New OS, and i was thinking of upgrading to vista this evening. Is anyone running vista? Are there any problems that anyone has had yet?

There is a few bugs and glitches still if you are a big gamer I recommend not upgrading because there is problem with the mic driver alot of people who have vista have either bought their computer with vista or are very knowledgeable with computers.. I mean don't get me wrong it is awesome and if you know of anyone who has installed it and has worked out the problems have them help ya. I have this and have been waiting to install till I can make a image of my hard drive for back up purposes.

if your computer can handle it, and you want to bother with it, go ahead. the vista home basic is in fact less than xp home ed.

I use vista Ultimate
Havent had any problems, had to clear some of the microsoft Annoyances and whatnot. Only one Gaming issues so far ive only tried a handful of games tho. (battlefield 1942+mods,Diablo2,Guild wars,DTR(pimpest game around), Dflw,Rfactor, and ofcourse wow. The issue is with Diablo 2 everynow and then it screws up the colour.
I am only on vista about 50% of the time i also run Debian and perfer it for certain things.
I think the question is what exactly do you want to do with your Operating system? are you a gamer, programmer, Or just a "Use computer browsing the net or whatever.
