Vista Compatible Hacks? - hallifax - 10-23-2007
Hey everyone. I recently got a laptop with windows vista and I haven't been able to get any hacks working with it it seems. Does anybody know if there are any maphacks working for vista? Im just planning on running on SinglePlayer/LAN/Open so its not an issue what it is.
Edit: Got it to Work with EasyPlay and Vista:
To get EasyPlay V3 to work with Vista, I'm running Diablo 2 in Windows XP SP2 compatibility and running EasyLoad.exe as an administrator. When you do so you might get "Windows - Entry Point Not Found" error messages, I get about 3 or 4 of them, but keep pressing Ok through them and go back into game and EasyPlay should be loaded into your game.
I suggest ONLY using this for Single/Open games as always..

im having the same problem with my new computer, we might just have to instal windows xp to get the hacks to work.
but so far i dont know of any that work with it.

far as i know strings mh is the only hack that works with vista. i may be wrong tho since i have not played d2 in a long time
i don't normal stings works with vista but u can try it if not get stings lite and do this
rite click on bart simpson icon
click on run as adminstrator

Well, I found out that Easy Play v3 (FINAL) does work with vista for singleplayer/open bnet, but I wont use anything while playing on the realm, I dont trust it enough with vista, it'll wind up screwing me over in the end.

my question is does anyone know if theres anyplace to get EasyPlay gold? And is there a way to config it to display any chests/crates/etc. on the automap?
