Keyboard problem - hwoarang_t4 - 08-20-2008 ok so this is wat happened. yesterday my keyboard was working fine. then i turned off my comp over night and now it wont work today. anybody know wats wrong btw: this is the stock keyboard i got with my comp and i tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. im on my brothers computer typing this Keyboard problem - Determinado - 08-21-2008 First; check if the lights that should be green or something are actually green. If not it's likely it's simply broken. Next, check if the driver wasn't replaced, try going to your hardware manager and uninstalling the driver. Upon restarting or connecting it should reinstall the driver, possibly resolving the problem. Hardware manager: Right click on 'My Computer' on the desktop and choose 'Manage' You should find the way easily towards hardware manager and then right click on your keyboard to uninstall the driver. When it prompts what driver to install, get the windows cd in your drive and let it search on that, this ensures your driver isn't messed with. I hope it's nothing else! Also try if your keyboard works in safe mode. (hold control when your pc is starting) |
