Google chrome! - Aemaeth - 09-03-2008

This is by far the sexiest browser I've used, and I've used nearly all of them.
Try it!

How do you think it compares to Firefox 3.0? Safety? Looks? Add-ons? Customability?

Google chrome! - Aemaeth - 09-03-2008

No addons or custom shit yet, it's still in beta so hopefully that will get sorted, but the skin you get is pretty nice, I just like it for the bar function, you can search google in the address bar without having to do stupid crap, you can just put what you're searching for and it works.
Tabbed pages ETC, it has a browser history hider, called incognito which is more or less just another browser that doesn't save your history.
That's all but i'm sure more crap will get added, if they don't allow customisation they won't get pretty far with firefox rampaging around with it's customisation features.

Also each tab is opened as a separate process so intensive apps like PDF files and Javascript don't bog down the rest of your tabs

and that also means that when you close a tab, it can actually deallocate the memory, which solves Firefox's bloating problems

it also has its own task manager so you can see how much memory each tab and plugin is using

it's like a programmer remembered what garbage collection was and realized that modern browsers don't have it

No thanks

Yea, that's true. Than again you can just turn off Google information share so that they don't get any info.

Google chrome! - hellsing293 - 09-15-2008

Google is going to control everything on the internet soon enough. They can see what we search for, what we browse outside of Google, medical records (they have some kind of pharmaceutical thing), videos we watch, email we send/receive, people's myspaces, and I heard they're making an online encyclopedia that's supposed to be better than wiki.

Google chrome! - Blue - 09-15-2008

I dl'd earlier.

I'm not too impressed. It usually goes faster, but not always.
Its spacious and empty, looks boring.

I was impressed about the most visited sites thing as soon as I open the browser, but for that exact reason, I won't go to important sites/bad sites.

It may also help to be noted that Google Chrome is still in Beta. So there's still a load of new stuff that can/will be added I'm sure.

I personally can't wait for them to implement add-on's like Firefox.
