Who has the most expired characters?
Anyone got any accounts filled with expired characters?

I've had about 2-3 accounts expire (but I lost interest and forgot about them anyways).
Funny story--> Every diablo II player knows that diablo craving from nowhere. You know, when you haven't played or really thought of D2 for months and then you wake up one day and say "I want to play some D2". Well, my friend had this exact craving. So he was like "shit, I bet my account is expired". He logged on and found that his characters had said "expires today". In short, he just renewed them in time.

I have like some weird grim satisfaction with looking at expired accounts... love it if I could see those expired accounts (if you still know their details) Should pm me the names and pw(change them obviously if you still use that pw) ... dont think im breaking any rules by asking for this?
I dunno lol i just love checking out sweet characters that have expired...

Actually there was a way to get expired characters back by simply setting your system clock back 1 year. Not sure if it works anymore, but I have done it on more than one occasion.

it might be.
i know that i was able to play and even reset the "expired" character (to the default 10 days thingy) right after the most recent patch. i dont know why it let me.. but all i remember was being able to play on them

as far as i can tell, i can still get my expired chars back .. just by clicking on them... dont know why it works .. just does.
Thats why i was looking for someones account to see if I can un-expire their characters too lol... curious to see if it will work

If the character name hasnt already been taken, just double click on your expired character and you can still play.

when did they change that? coz i remember i had a couple of accounts expire and so i just deleted the chars and remade new ones.. but then now you can just click on them and there good to go... when did bliz change that?

with one of the most recent updates.
imo they did that to get the older players, who may still have characters laying around, back and interested in D2 again ahead of D3

wankers! lol i deleted many a godly expired characters back in the days when i was rich (thanks to unrestricted botting) lol. Still not as rich as i used to be .. years later ...
though i havent been played nearly as much lol

Man i don't know how you manage to get your characters expired, i have a level 3 assasin and it expires all the time and i can enter with it again and again, the time keeps resetting. Without any hacks, that to be mentioned

haha yea well this was back in the day when expired chars stayed expired! i got like 3 accounts banned for maphack when 1.10 came out i think, maybe 1.09 cant remember but it was quite a few years ago.
so i just deleted them... but then later they make it so u can just select them and they un expire! wankers lol

This is so so so friggin true, my pals and i always woke up hafing the crave for D2, well i played 5years ago . gatherthing them all 3years and 1years ago but i din played back . now i gathered them all again and we're playing now . love D2. Well a ladder reset means everything wipe right? because i tried my accounts . 5years ago, tried 1years ago(still working) now it aint. Is it because of the wipe my expired characters are gone?wacky:

could be that, or that once a character is expired if another character is created with the same name, the expired character becomes unavailable

Yes, I know that but, hmmm i could not login to my account. Maybe mainly because of the wipe all the characters are gone? Even expired characters? wacky:
Miss my old account and characters =/ Well wanted to have a last look at them, but... i could not login.. sigh lmao . maybe because of not logging in for 1year and also the ladder reset so it's all gone. -kinda envy those who can play their expired characters =[
