Watch that, people who didn't see it the first time. Crazies...
There are some awesome new things coming with this new installment of GOW, most of which you've probably heard.
Meat Shields- Use a downed player as a mobile shield.
New Executions- More than just Curb Stomp this time
New Weapons- Flame thrower, mortar launchers, and more.
New Enemies- TONS of new Locust to kill and be killed by
New Game Modes- Horde(waves of increasingly difficult Locust to survive against), and something where you fly on Reapers.
More Players- From teams of 4 to teams of 5!
More Fluid Controls- Have to experience this for myself, but this is what's been said.
More Vehicles- The campaign features more than just your APC this time around.
Matchmaking- No more finding game after game, this time the game will help you and your party find comparable teams to fight against and with. Hopefully it's like Halo's matchmaking system.
Updated Unreal Engine- Better graphics, color, lighting, physics, and AI!
That's all I know so far. The color really doesn't have to do with the unreal engine, but they're adding more color variation to this game.

how is it anyways? I saw some gameplay clips from last nights VGA's and it looked ****ing wicked!
I have a ps3 so my only comparison is the restistance series. which ain't half bad, I still haven't played the 2nd one yet

I have a Ps3 and a 360. Resistance in no way compares to Gears, in multiplayer or campaign. I haven't tried R2 or GoW2 yet, though. I want to try 'em both, but my gaming is currently underfunded.

yes, i figuired that out. Well resitance wasn't a bad game, the story line was pretty good. I hated the lack of allowing split screen online multiplayer. not to mention u could never choose ure match type although it says u can!

I hate how games are getting rid of split screen and going with online multiplayer instead. Some of the most fun I've EVER had on games is when I have a friend with me in my livingroom playing through campaigns and online with me. Lost Planet, Shadowrun, Resistance.. Some fairly big-name games. None of them have split screen.
Hell, arguably the best and most fun shooter of all time, Goldeneye for the N64, had split screen multiplayer, and it was the balls. The Halo franchise has great stories, great gameplay, and good online. They do split screen. Call of Duty does split screen. I don't get why game companies can see these games, with all of the money and success they've made for themselves, and decide NOT to let the people who play their games play with a friend. Having your friend a few miles away over a microphone just isn't as fun as having them play with you.
