I Mac Problems - tree_frog - 11-06-2008
Hey Everyone,
I am at school and i am tech admin for our EAST classroom and i have not messed with apple much but we have a problem and i have looked at the forums and stuff on apple.com and they said that it is either a messed up hard drive or something to the people that had the same problem. but i wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem here it is.
When i turn the computer on i have the flashing folder wih a ? in the middle of it.
I have tried to reinstall the mac os x onto the hard drive again but it is not there.
i reset the pram but it still not there.
i unplugged the keyboard and mouse and it still will not go back on.
i unplugged the main cord to the computer and it did not help it either.
when i try to go into single user mode it will let me if i have the cd in the computer but it is not let me go into single user mode if i do not have the cd in it.
We have had this happen to the other imac we have here but i fixed it with trail and error but i was in single user mode without a cd.
if anyone can help me please do so it would be greatly apprceatied.
