Quick Question - Clapton - 11-11-2008

I got a lvl 61 necro on single player (/players 8), got him to act 3 of nightmare and i just run into my first immune to phisycal damage monster, and i realized me and my minions are pretty much uselles against any immune to phisycal, so i was wondering, what should i get? bone spirit and bone spear, or poison nova and poison explosion? I don't have any +x to skill lvls items, except for my +2 to skill lvls (necro only) wand, and keep in mind i won't get godly items in single player (ie. bramble). my skills trees are like this:

Summoning: Maxed skelies and SM
1 point in: skeleton mages, revive, summon resist, fire golem, blood golem, fire golem.
and 2 points in golem mastery and 3 in clay golem (I know it's stupid, but i thought of making the clay golem a tank...won't be able cause i need non-phisycal dmg)

Curses: 1 point in weaken, terror, amplify, decrepify and iron maiden.

Bone and Poison: 1 in teeth and bone armor; and 8 in corpse explosion.

I never had a problem with this necro till the phisycal immunes, so is there anyway to save this necro and make it able to kill phisycal immunes?

Thank for your time.

Option 1: Seeing that you have iron maiden, if they physical immune is hitting your skellies it should kill itself when IM is applied...

OPTION 2: Act 2 mercenaries have lightning and cold spells (possibly fire?)... if you hire one they can do some heavy damage to physical immunes

Option 3: Bone teeth spam... although it's low damage, maybe after an hour or two it will die.

Option 4: Nearby corpses should pump out magic damage when you use corpse explosion (or is it physical? hm...)

But i'd definetely go with OPTION 1 and 2
Big Grin

hope this helped

Quick Question - Clapton - 11-11-2008

Well the first option actually makes a lot of sense...'bout the second, not really, act 3 mercenaries have elemental damage through spells, but anyways i need my act 2 nm offensive mercenary's aura, and i really don't want to keep swaping between mercenaries every 10 minutes when i'm in hell...option 3 is just plain no patience for it...and about 4, well, kinda, 50% of the CE damage is fire and the rest in physical, and anyways, in players 8 you need a hell lot of corpses to kill sumthing with full life, and even more if it ignores completly 50% of the damage...and even more if the monster is a superunique and there isn't a lot of bodies nearby...but anyways it helped, so thanks, but i still want to find out wich is the best option, bone spear and spirit or poison nova and explosion...

Quote:act 3 mercenaries have elemental damage through spells...

That's what i meant Tongue

also a lower /players # is a good option.

Even though /players 8 might yield alot of experience, if you take in consideration the amount of time it takes to kill a single mob with ironmaiden/teeth, it might just be easier to use /players 1, then switch back when it's dead (if it works that way)

OH, and one more thing Big Grin

Fight or flight?

IF it's just easier and less time consuming, flee!

Quick Question - Clapton - 11-12-2008

without /players 8 is not much fun...but sumtimes i flee, and sumtime i put players 1 against bosses, just did that to kill mephisto, the guy is a pain in the ass...

Quick Question - ZeroGTR - 11-12-2008

Omg...

Amp damage removes phys immunities... cast and check it out.

Quick Question - Clapton - 11-13-2008

not very usefull...i tried it...it removes the immunity but still it reduces greatly, too gratly...

Quick Question - ZeroGTR - 11-14-2008

Amp damage + Might Merc should cut through PI enemies.

They work 4 me... first mob down, CE to clear the rest...
