a very enlightening moment. - wazzacky - 01-11-2009 So a couple of days ago it was my birthday, nothing special most of my family wasn't there because of work and stuff. I spend it with my other half ![]() "if someone had captured (in the future) your wife, your brother, your child and your mother, and the captor said pick one and give me a reason of why you want them to live (the rest would than be killed, including you)" I immediatly thought, is she serious? it sounds like that stupid fire thing i used to hear in gr 5 about leave 1 save 1 type of thing. But ofcourse it was much depper than that, my mother is a very wise woman. So none of us answered, my sister was thinkin in the logical sense about carrying on your bloodline, so was my brother. I said fine the child should be saved. you know, innocense of birth and stuff. But i soon changed my mind and you will see why. It turns out this is a true story far back in time in Arabia. A king had someone in the same circumstance and posed the same question. The person being asked said "my brother" the king asked why. So the person said "I am a young man, I can have another wife and make another child. But my mother is too old to have another child. I wouldn't be able to replace the space my brother had left" The king thought about what he said and let everyone live. Isin't this a great story? I guess the moral is , uh lol love your family I couldnt live without my 2 bros and 2 sis's. wat do u guys think? a very enlightening moment. - Nethran - 01-11-2009 Kind of a cold answer, lol. He can have another wife and child, but not the same ones. You can't replace those people with others of the same title. But a hard question to answer.. I'd probably pick my son. Not because he'd carry on my bloodline. I wouldn't be thinking about my bloodline if I was being asked which of my family members were going to die because I didn't pick them. I would pick my son because he's young, innocent, and has yet to even experience life, as well as because he is my son. I'd probably try to find a way to kill the people doing it though. I try to be a decent Christian, but I'd kill me some mother****ers if they tried that shit, eternal damnation or no eternal damnation. a very enlightening moment. - Mathalamus - 01-11-2009 in the future you say? id pick my wife. who is aislinn. a very enlightening moment. - Skye - 01-11-2009 OMGLULZROFLLMFAO. I would pick... my... no-one. I'd kill the assholes before they knew what hit them. No-one fks around with my family and gets away with it. a very enlightening moment. - Mathalamus - 01-11-2009 biut that isnt possible skye. a very enlightening moment. - Darkemperor121 - 01-12-2009 I think Math is just trolling now. Skye and Pam, they way you sounded it seems like, to me, that those thoughts aren't on our mind. Ofcourse they are. we love our families too. I guess i lost the purpose of this thread as i was writing it. a very enlightening moment. - Moon - 01-12-2009 Fellas, ... I usually do not think about such situations, but if there were a chance to save someone, I would save my child. Children are the futur's bearer, ... I don't know, it's an instinct, I dunno. ![]() Cheers Dean a very enlightening moment. - Pamela - 01-12-2009 wazzacky Wrote:good way of thinking about it. If me wanting to fight or die for my family is ****ed up..so be it..I am just ****ed up. a very enlightening moment. - Lily - 01-13-2009 maybe some, but it's still ****ed up. what i'm aiming for in life? lol, i joind this forum so i could get a game to work, you really think i'm aming for so much? lol i'd gladly die for.. i guess there is two people, but i'm not scared of death and i'd rather have us all killed then for me to fight some shitty ****s, not like i would take them down anyway. but whatever, it's easy for me to sit here and say this now, if i actually was in a situastion like that, who knows how i would react a very enlightening moment. - Moon - 01-13-2009 Lily Wrote:maybe some, but it's still ****ed up. what i'm aiming for in life? lol, i joind this forum so i could get a game to work, you really think i'm aming for so much? lol yeah, the situation is really ****ed up, ... but Lily, I'm dissappointed in you thinking you have no aim in life, ... pretty poor. Well who knows, maybe I'm the fool. ![]() Cheers Dean a very enlightening moment. - Lily - 01-13-2009 haha, why? i may die tomorrow and if i don't then still what is the point? sure i'd love to get a family and all that stuff, but a certain aim.. nah, man, only thing i'd want to is just stuff i can't get done either, probably cause of my focus but whatever a very enlightening moment. - Mathalamus - 01-13-2009 people can fight off those people, properly coordinated you can survibe a fun fight just by punching the shit out of them, all it needs is a nasty surprise |
