Blizzard has recently banned 112,000 Diablo II accounts, also claiming to have banned Maphack users. Well, contrary to what they say, I can guarantee to you that
Maphack CANNOT be detected by Blizzard as of Diablo 2 1.09
Contrary to what they said, they still currently cannot detect maphack, and all this is is a bluff on their part. This is FOR SURE. Maphack hooks on to a local dll in order to get the map info that your computer already has. It does not do anything that sends out packets to the server and is therefore, completely undetectable as of now.
Oh, and if you'd like to, please do vote on the poll on the news article about the accounts being banned.

Kain after reading quite a few of your posts I must say I see a man who actually knows what he's doing...I may not know the technical jive but I do know how to play the game and must say I wish I had your kind of info open to myself as well.
