The laptop i have been using has been great to me. But the person who owns it got on and was playing around with it. He doesnt know much about comps and he ended up installing antivirus xp 2009 and if you have had that you know you f ing hate it.

but anyways ever since then the internet has not been working right and alot of stuff has went wrong with it. i have ran scans and i just got the antivirus off the computer but now the internet will not work at all. we have wirless internet here and i dont know if that plays a part in any of this. If someone could help me out please.

Also i have tried system restore points... but when i chose the date and then it tells me what date it is going to and to confirm and press next.... it goes no where. i cannot get system restore to work. my spy doctor cannot run its updates. reg mech has fixed most of the reg keys but it still not working.

oh yeah when i start it up it says that it had to close "tcsd_win32.exe" which i figure most of my problems are comming from. but i dont know what to do or where to go with it.

Run>CMD>IPCONFIG

Under Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection, go down to Default Gateway, and copy that number into you internet address bar. This will bring you to your router center. You may have to reconfig your router/network. Or...

Delete the ANtivirus 2009 folder in your Program Files, while in Safe Mode, then go to McAffee online antivirus, and let it go through.

it says connection-specific DNS suffix . : domain.Invaild

from here that doesnt sound good

Sounds like you have Malware. Download Malwarebytes' antimalware. This won't completly remove it from your computer though. Some parts require manual removal.

does the wireless not work? or the ethernet? or both?
it sounds like whatever program that was installed in there messed up the registry values.
give us all of the output when you type in ipconfig.
try to ping a website to see if anything can go through (start run cmd ping "www.google.com"
turn off system restore and do another malware scan.
run a hijackthisscan. i unfortunately cant read one of those, but you can post it to other forums and they will tell you if you have anything suspicious.
reinstall drivers

all of these are just suggestions.
but more information please
