Barkley Serves Time - Z3R0 - 03-14-2009 The Associated Press: Barkley begins serving time on DUI charges Was a bit suprised to see this. Barkley Serves Time - Pamela - 03-14-2009 Meh..we all make mistakes, and it was only 3 days. Barkley Serves Time - Z3R0 - 03-14-2009 Yeah, that's messed up. If any normal citizen got the same charge, it would have been months or more. But a celebrity...they don't even really get slapped on the wrist, and it's complete bull. Barkley Serves Time - Pamela - 03-15-2009 My son was held for 5 days and not allowed a phone call and they took his clothes. So he is alone and naked in a cell. He lost his former job and moved home for a few months until he got another. We got the charges reduced and are suing.People that screw with me better be prepared..f*ck with my KID...HA! I will unleash all hell on you. Best have your funeral arrangements made and will in order. Barkley Serves Time - Mathalamus - 03-15-2009 ^ it shall be noted the next time i deal with you pam. but does that apply in canada? im highly unsuprised by this, people drink and drive all the time.. Barkley Serves Time - Pamela - 03-15-2009 Which also explains all the alchohol related moter vehicle fatalities does it not? Barkley Serves Time - Z3R0 - 03-18-2009 There's a big differance between having a few beers and drinking, and being hammered and drinking...this is why we have a legal limit...which, in all reality is BS because it only allows for probably one beer. Barkley Serves Time - Pamela - 03-18-2009 Be hammered all you like..just don't drive around afterwards. Barkley Serves Time - Blue - 03-18-2009 I don't drink and drive, I drink then drive. But in all seriousness, if he has the money to do whatever he wants, why can't he, it's not like he killed somebody. I don't know if he had to pay a fine, but it would probably benefit America a lot more if he paid 1mil and served 3 days then to serve a year and leach off our prison. Barkley Serves Time - Z3R0 - 03-18-2009 That's not the point, the point is, it's against the law, and he could have killed someone. But then again, he does have money, and apparently people with money don't get any serious punishments when they break the law unless they really mess up. Barkley Serves Time - Pamela - 03-18-2009 Not really but sometimes. His 3 day stint is ridiculous and no average person would have gotten that. Thank you...for playing the parrot. <.< Barkley Serves Time - Blue - 03-19-2009 Z3R0 Wrote:Thank you...for playing the parrot. <.< Calling the kettle black. Or was that someone else? I dunno, I just wanted to say that to you. Barkley Serves Time - Pamela - 03-19-2009 Settle down men...his stint was inappropriate to his actions IMO....Because he is rich and famous should not matter...can we please discuss that? Barkley Serves Time - Blue - 03-19-2009 It was something stupid in my opinion. Drunk driving is stupid, but I do believe if you can handle it, why shouldn't you be able to drive. Unless this guy was tripping over himself, I really don't believe he should of been taken in, in the first place. A fine maybe for endangering others. Barkley Serves Time - Z3R0 - 03-20-2009 Like any other substance that alters your ability to function completly coherently, alcholol just needs to be used responsibly IMO. Not even celebrating? I do agree with you, for people who constantly go out to the bar, but I reserve my God given right to once in a while get totally ****ed up, even though its still illegal for me. It's not like I drive or do something stupid while I drink. Barkley Serves Time - Z3R0 - 03-21-2009 Blue Wrote:Not even celebrating? Nothing wrong with having a good time, but if someone knows they are going out and planning to get completly hammered, have a friend drive that won't be drinking, or make use of a taxi service. Barkley Serves Time - Pamela - 03-22-2009 He has money for a private driver..a taxi is not a stretch on his wealth.I am biased on this subject...my husband flies an emergency medical rescue helicopter for a living. He cleans people up off the streets and we got our EMT together (Emergency Medical Training)....I hear horror stories on a daily basis. So YAH..his time or fine should have been bigger. |
