PvM werewolf druid build (for new ladder) - busho - 03-20-2010
Hey all,
Im coming back to d2 with the new ladder reset and have thought about racing a wolf druid as my first char. I have alot of exp at pvp and pvm but havnt played for quite some time. I just have a few questions about werewolf druid and a few things id like to run by the pro's.
1. Build - I was thinking of going for maximum pvm damage and I will be lvling with a mate (summonmancer) so thought this build might work well.
Werewolf - 20 pts
Lycanthropy - 20 pts
Feral Rage - 20 pts
Fury - 20 pts
Heart of the Wolverine - 20 pts
I chose these to maximise my damage output. I chose HotW > Oak because I will have my mates summons tanking alot of the damage and HotW will also help his minions quite a bit.
2. Stats - I plan to get the following stats:
Str - Minimal (just enough for gear)
Dex - Not sure (Being early in the ladder season im not sure if my gear is going to give me enough AR to allow me to hit hell diff monsters without a little dex, if you have any ideas help here would be great.)
Vit - All my extra stats
Ene - Nothing
3. Gear - Gear im not too sure about, from what ive read I want a nice fast Main hand with a shield in the off hand. Other than that I think I have a fair idea of what items id be after.
4. Last questions - Last thing I wasnt sure about was rabies, should I swap one of the skills I have and max rabies instead? (keep in mind this is for PvM). Only other question I had was about PvP, how do Wolf druids perform? With the new respec option @ around lvl 90 i could possibly respec to a better pvp build if they are viable.
