Are mods detectable - King_yoshi - 04-06-2010

I have been out of the loop for a while now. I originally made King_YOshi's color mod, and then stopped due to personal reasons.

At the time mods were deemed detectable by warden, since it was able to scan game files and check for alterations. (Or so many people told me.)

Is this/Was this really the case? If I went back into mod making for closed bnet, would people get banned form my mods? (I have not had a single person, to my knowledge banned from my mods.)

Does anyone have any info on this subject?

i think mods are detectable. since it is a modification of diablo 2.

Can they ban for mods? Yes they can ban for any changes to the game
will they do it that's another story, What all does your mods do beside change colors of stuff and does it have a dll injector?

NO the mod does not .. if it did have a dll injector, it would be a hack not a mod. All I do is edit the diablo 2 game files, which you run under a -direct -text diablo 2 shortcut.

And anything that injects .dll is almost 100% detectable if it doesn't use some anti warden software.

I am specifically asking about mods.

Does anyone have any knowledge on wardens current workings, or know someone that I can ask?
I know generally how WoW's warden works but am not so sure about Diablo 2's...

Well, I believe 1.13 changed the color of runes, so at least that is one less thing you need to worry about in terms of color change.

Of course it'll always depend on the mod; if it is something other than yours, I'd suggest checking up online on the latest news.
