How to change your IP ( XP and vista) - Tweker - 07-11-2010 Hi, Since I got the bot and all I needed to understand/install it, I decided I'd give back to the community. First the warnings : 1) Avoiding a temporary ban is against the term of use ( at least I think it is) so doing this may lead to a permanant ban 2) Some internet provider do not allow costumer to use more than a certain amount of mac adress per day, call them and ask how many you are allowed. 3) This might not work if you are using a router 4) Some internet provider need to be contacted to apply the mac adress change 5) Some network card wont allow you to change your mac adress That being said: For windows XP Keep in mind my windows is in french so the translation may not be exactly the same, but I'm sure its going to be similar enough. Step 1) Step 1) Click Start > run > Type cmd and press enter Step 2) Type ipconfig /release Step 3) Go in the control pannel > Network Connections > right click the internet conneciton and go in properties Step 4) Select the TCP/IP and press properties Thats what you should have ![]() change it to this (note: just type anything, no need to be exactly this) ![]() Press Ok, and press Ok on the second window as well. Step 5) Right click your connection again > properties > click tcp/ip > properties and undo what you did ( select assigne Ip and DNS automatically) Step 6) Go back to the command prompt window and type Ipconfig /renew For Vista: Step 1) Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Internet Connection (on the left side menu) Step 2) right click the connection and go in properties Step 3) Click the configure button Step 4) Select the advanced tab and select localy administered adresse By default, the ''not present'' is selected Select value and enter your desired MAC adresse Step 5) unplug your modem and restart your computer Step 6) plug the power of your modem back on and enjoy your new IP If your internet does not work after this, do step 1 to 6 but at step 4 you put it back to the default setting ''not present'' Hope this helps a few people ![]() How to change your IP ( XP and vista) - Juke - 07-11-2010 OMG! This Changes your Local NAT IP not your IP!!!!!!!!!! DHCP Lease from ISP = 7 days. only way u can change IP within the 7 days or how ever long they set it up in the DHCP Scope is CALLING THEM! The only way i see this working is you plugged right into you modem and pulled a real IP on your PC. Switch is very unsecured since you no longer have NAT But if you do plug right into you modem, you will have a hard time trying to Manuel type in a IP address. Since you dont know if that IP has been givin to another place. Have phun with this one lol IP Banned = Range IP, if u have 2 computers or have someone in the same town as u playing they can all be IP banned since there on the same DHCP Scope. "change it to this (note: just type anything, no need to be exactly this)" HAHAHAH your Changing your DNS information and u say change to this lol. Name Resolution is a big part of networking when it come to resolving usaest.battle.net to a IP Address. How to change your IP ( XP and vista) - Tweker - 07-11-2010 Juke Wrote:OMG! I used it for many many years, avoiding realm down, getting unbanned on Vent. As for the windows vista, it changes your physical addresse, most of the times, internet provider provide 1 ip per physical adresse, therefore, if you change your phisical adresse, you change your IP. Please don't flame if you did not try it ---------- Post added at 05:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:42 PM ---------- Oh, I think you missunderstood the windows XP one. When you type anything in the box, it doesnt have to be a valid IP or anything. lets say you start with the ip 111.222.111 when the seting is on automaticcaly select IP you click on use the folowing IP and type anything ( thats not the ip you are going to have) and save the setting You go back into the setting and put automaticcaly select ip and you end up 222.111.222 ( not the same ip as the first you had) Once again, this wont work for everyone, it depends on your network card and internet provider |
