Bot restrict att - sly- - 01-28-2011
Ok, my game length is around 6-7 minutes. I pally barely chickins, but I can only run my bot for about 30 minutes then I get temp restricts from bnet. I mean I am getting them atleast 3 times a day running this bot. My game length is long enough, he isn't chickening, he isn't joining random channels and sending msgs anymore, and everyday it gets me restricted. Does anyone know anything else I can do to keep this from happening. Or maybe have an idea of why it is happening. So far I only know to keep game length up above 3 1/2 minutes, and that msgin could drop me but I removed those as well. And if its just a crappy bot (d2ntbot3.1) cause this doesn't run sorc scripts, it doesn't run its barb script, and its item parsel list won't allow me to pick up runes, gems, or any normal/socketed item. So its kinda pissin me off, one of the worst bots I ever ran but don't know of any others.

Don't quote me on this for sure, since I am by no means an expert, but I believe in addition to needing games to be above 3.5 minutes, you also can only create a certain number of games an hour otherwise you are flagged for a temp ban.
I had a similar problem and I stopped getting temp bans when I increased the number of things the bot did per game. Adding in Gambling is a fairly good one, since the bot will spend about 5 to 8 minutes gambling at least once an hour. Adding in the Pit and the Mausoleum is probably the easiest and most effective, since those areas are worth running anyway and they take at least 3-4 minutes a piece.
In the end, without gambling, my bot spends about 15-18 minutes in each game and the bot runs fine for 18+ hours straight.

So its kinda pissin me off, one of the worst bots I ever ran but don't know of any others.I have had no problems with this bot(d2nt3.1) it runs all my scripts is very intuitive to use, was easy enough to learn how to add extra features, runs all the default character classes(and more if you have properly configured scripts)The secret to learning this bot is to learn how to configure it properly, when you learn that it becomes very good.BTW i have been using this bot since about 6 or so months before the ladder season reset and am still using it.
