few questions regarding bans and botting - m8r8j - 02-01-2012
alright hey guys first poster here.
anyways i got d2nt 3.3 up and running wit my hammerdin, running 19 minute games (killing like 10 bosses)
anyways im getting sketched out about getting banned so i have a few questions.
1: i have a main bot account (with just the bot) and also a mule account to mule the items off the main account (incase it gets banned) but can they see that my ip/cdkey has logged on to both accounts and ban both? or will they just ban the bot account?
2: if i decide to delete d2nt and stop botting will i be safe? or since i have already botted is my key tainted? what im saying is if i was going to delete d2nt right now, would be be as if i never botted before? or could blizzard know that i have botted before and possibly ban me in the future after the bot is off my computer.
3: would they ever ban my ip? or is it just the account and/or the cd key? i have another copy of d2 with a fresh cd key "in case" i get banned, i was going to reinstall it and start fresh (without botting of course) and i was wondering if i would be able to do this, but if blizzard bans ip's then obviously not.
4: is there any way to increase my chances of not getting banned?
5: and is ~19 minutes per game good? i got a 12 hour r/d on the first day@5mins per game, after about ~30 games, then second day i increased it to ~10 minutes a game, got another 12 hour realm down.... so now i have it on 19 minutes a game and it seems like its alright.....

1. it should be just your botting acct mule acct should be ok
2. should be ok if delete it now and stop unless they ban like tomorrow then you could be on the list
3. only time they ban a ip is if you been banned before like 2 or so other times - your acct will be banned and unusable and probably a 90 ban on your keys being the first time
4. only thing I can think of is to NOT BOT
5. look likes your 19 mins is being good for your computer and internet and how the bot runs to not get the r/d when you stop the bot

i guess the most important question is: can they ONLY ban the account that was botting? or can they ban my mule/pvp accounts too? are they safe? and if i do get banned, is it as easy as re installing d2 with my new keys, and logging right back in?
or is a cd key related to every account it uses to log in, and thus all are banned...

they should only ban your bot acct and ban your cd key for like 90 days
as long you havn't used the bot or any other 3rd party programs with your mules they should be ok
if they ban your cdkey for 90 or for good you can just use your other key set
