Bots are 3rd party applications, that use your diablo 2 character, teleport to right places, and kill the right monsters e.g. Mephisto. Bots are usually used for mf runs if you cant be bothered clicking the mouse. Bots can do a run way faster than a user. Bots can continue doing runs while you sleep. They automatically go to healer, stash unique items and charms. Bots can be very useful, though some of them can steal your password, or ruin your character. Use bots at your own risk. Hope this explains to you what bots are.
