Ok...I'm scared.

AVG Resident Shield says:
Virus
Trojan horse BackDoor.Agent.2.H is found in a folder called C:System Volume Information. I can't find this folder in the c drive, where is it??!!

It's getting worse!!!
I'm getting a continual stream of trojans!!
There's a folder in common files with a weird name that I keep deleting but it just keeps on comming back!!

Search google.com for 'BackDoor.Agent.2.H removal'.
Also try searching computing.net for ''BackDoor.Agent.2.H'

I'm sure you'll find something to get it off, usually you're gonna need to delete some registry entries and delete/unlink dlls and other files.

Try this,
1. Disable windows system restore. (Right click on the My Computer icon > Properties > System Restore and put a check mark next to 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.)

2. Click Apply/OK

3. Restart your computer and run AVG again, it should be able to get it this time.

Backdoors just allow hackers to access your computer easily..i would get a better scanner that can clean the file. Lookit the ones in this thread that mud posted i think.

It just says turn off system restore. It doesn't restart or say "on all drives".

What operating system are you using?

Try just turning off system restore, restarting your comp and run AVG again.
I'm not sure why it doesn't say 'all drives'.

I'm using windows xp. I don't have a my computers icon on my desktop, but I have one in the start menu.

It has at the top:
Turn on/off system restore check box.

And there's a slider at the bottom to change the amount of disk space for system restore.

I think it's because currently, at the bottom it only shows 1 drive.

That may be it. Have you tried what I said yet?

thats your solution right there, disabling system restore and running a virus check again allows the virus scanner to permanetly remove the infected file without system restore reloading it

Yes I've tried. AVGs did not detect the viruses in the System Volume blah folder, but it got the one in common files. However, that doesn't really help, as the one in common files restores itself, even after I toggled off system restore.

BTW, how do i view logs for avg?
