Chaos Armor? That is an EXCEPTIONAL version of Full Plate Mail. If it was a Shadow Plate (Elite version) it might me worth something. But what do you mean about the life thing? Is it "Artisan's Chaos Armor of the Whale"?

Hmm... don't think it's worth much since it's a magic armor, meaning that it cannot be made into a runeword. Well, it's not elite anyways so don't waste runes on that anyways.
