i was just wandering since i got a fire sorc if i should get a act1 cold archer, or act2 holy freeze merc...or if there was a better merc i should get...any ideas?

All are pretty good for their own individual uses. I personally like the Act 3 mercs cuz they're flashy

Act1 because if you teleport they teleport with you and they can shoot while you are teleporting.

I personally LOVE the Act 5 Barbarians... No matter what character I'm using.
Especially if you play off-of-Closed with say Cheater's Choice mod which allows your merc to have a complete set of items. How cool is it to have two IK barbs fighting alongside each other 24/7? Really cool. But even if you're not offline/Open, I find the Barb to be the most hardy and versatile of them all... But, the A2 merc auras are awesome, too. It's just something you gotta try and figure out for yourself, really.

agreed with fudgehead, and u cannot get a holy freeze merc in hell, u must lvl him from nm to a higher lvl.

a cold merc kills very slowly. and how would it handle moon lords who cannot be frozen?
