    well we have a DSL connection (overcharging too : ) and we dont have the most amount of money in this world... so my mom wanted to connect my comp with hers without changing ip addresses, or we would definately be charged for 2 lines, stupid earthlink!! we might have an idea, but its still in working theory...

    get dsl through netzero and ask to have it set as a network connection. should be cheaper for both computers.

    or fiber optic. if you have the right company nearby then its cheap. for my main computer it only costed 40 for installation and 5 dollars a month.

    fiber optics is bout 1.5mb or higher of speed. laser is slightly higher but more expensive cause its not down very often.
