Ok that is a lvl 85 version of my venger, they can be upgraded or downgraded at your will, but I dont think it would be easy to upgrade that equipment.
Why did I even bother with this build? Sounds effing weak eh? Well, your wrong, this build is ALL about the damage, and with it I can get 8k max damage WITHOUT my aura. I havent calculated aura damage yet, but I can imagine that it would be HUGE. Now, most of you non ladder players are thinking "THATZ WEAK NOOOB!!1 MY FIRESORC CAN PULL A 24K FIREBALL!!1" well, vengance is perhaps the ONLY attack that cannot be completely resisted, with the natural exceptions being blessed hammer and berzerk. But its advantages over those 2 skills are very great; hammer, being easy to avoid in pvp (just get a longer range weapon with knockback, and they are screwed), and zerk draining defense making successful hits easier.
All that said, vengance does indeed have its downfalls, its got a high mana cost at high lvls, 8 mana per swing. While that doesn't sound like much, remember, you dont leech magic/elemental damage so, you leech your base damage, which can be enough, but when you keep missing, and you have base mana, it gets rough. Ontop of that, Vengance gives a reletively low AR bonus, compared to other skills, so you can do alot of missing, especially without fanat.
Even with all its downfalls, this venger has other bonuses. One being that adding points into resist fire/ice/cold adds to max resist permanantly (thats something I didnt know until I actually built the char). Also, because of its "multi-faceted" nature, it makes any immunities pointless, with conviction adding insult to injury. Also, because he has conviction, he is the party favor in any baal run (for those who play USWest ladder, you all know that 75-80% of the baaling chars are sorcs). So, all in all, this is a very strong build, worthy of mass recognition. Even with lesser gear, this build kicks ***.
Thanks,
Kai.
