wow
wow
That would be pretty cool. Except maybe the necro could raise the barbarian as one of his skeleton warriors or something, and when he's buried at the end, a skeleton hand would reach out of the ground, and stuff like that.
or he could revive the barb but then when they kill baal the revived barb falls over and the necro gets really pissed and goes on a rampge or something
or mabey the barb could get rosen by baal and him and the pally could fight
maybe...maybe...
wat ever the movie is it should be lik lord of the rings with a little twist to it
I admit it would be cool if it was like lotr, but then people might get aggravated and say "you ripped this off from lotr!!! damn you blizzard!!!!" and that would be a bad response from the public. I think that graphic-wise it should be that good, and acting-wise too. but story should definitely try to be more original. and maybe no TPs or WPs. those might ruin the story a little bit if they're in the middle of an epic battle and then someone's like "i need to go sell, brb." or something like that. that would be pretty lame. or "i need to drop this in my stash, hold on a sec." it might add comedy and could be a good touch for all of us D2 fans, but people that have never played would be like "wtf this is retarded i want a refund!". All of my ideas are like that though. at least most of them. they have humor for d2 players, but normal people would think it's stupid and would totally miss the joke. We need to decide if blizzard should make a d2 comedy. I think that might be hilarious. with will farrel. j/k. I remember, no more talking about casting. But seriously, how many of you would go see a comedy written about d2? What about a movie about people who played d2.... just coming up with random, weird ideas...
lol when i first made this idea (aragorn made the thread) it was minor, no replies at all... then all of a sudden all these ideas come flowing in! some good! some crappy! most idiotic! but its all for fun =) no one would ever pay for something this massive. lets get governmental grants!
well lord of the ring can never be copie but i was trying to say it would be that well made and with in that time zone. but i think they could go to tristram and find cain and he could tell them about the town portals and show them and give them lik 5 andf they would use them only in desprit times lik 10 venom lords chasing them then the jump off a cliff and they open a tp befor they hit the groud or somthing
lol nub. it's cuz i joined the forums that people started looking at this thread and talking seriously about it : J/K just kidding. I agree with you totally on the tp thing, necro. that is actually a pretty good idea, but i think that enemies should also be able to travel through tps, unless there was some type of aura or something that prevented monsters from nearing it kinda, and they'd have to show that in the movie with insanely good cg effects.
maby they find out cain is really a demon and opens a tp to let the diablo com into the mortal realm and then he has a fight with the great warrior and that is how he took possenion of his body
that would be interesting, and if you're talking about d2, then that would be a big change in storyline and plot. D3 on the otherhand might work. it's definitely a good idea, at least i think so.
or maby for d3 your find out that there is four brotheran not 3 and the last is the most powerful but was left in hell to keep the souls coming in but gets mad and coms out of hell to distroy all the warroirs but this demon aint som huge hulk guy he about the size as a normal human and when him and who ever fights it is lik a mortal kombat seen or somthing cause i think there should always be a good fight seen in any movie i dont care if its old yeller or even lassy it should hav a good fight seen
or we could just come up with a totally diff story (still kililng the bosses and all but......) ya kno, just completely original and not following the game.................................... or not, lol, just thinkin :
Diablo III : The Rise of Sin
The Worldstone has been destroyed. Tyrael has been hailed as the savior of the mortal realm. The "anonymous hero" who defeated the three has drifted into oblivion, to make history no more. With the worldstone shattered, the souls of the three banished, heaven no longer fears any threat of hell. But in the aftermath of the Destruction, the remaining lesser evils; Belial and Azmodan, have risen, commanding the revenants of hell. However, their aims are not the conquoring of Sanctuary, but to besiege to the gates of heaven itself. For eternal power lies not in the lands of mortals, but in the hands of angels.
100 years later, Sanctuary has become the battleground. You, a young adventurer, have been chosen by heaven to make what little difference you can in this fight.
Diablo III: The Rise of Sin will include 5 main classes, and 5 schools of fighting that each class can practice, making a total of 25 unique classes. The player can combine up to 3 class schools to further generate uniqueness. Another option is to have multiple classes, though your character would still be limited to 3 schools total. For example: You could create a character that utilized Guardianship and Martialist schools in the Warrior class, but also used the Avatarship of a Holy Warrior. Another option would be to create a Mage that specialized in Elemental magic and the Earth Magic of a Druid. Or you could choose to use ONLY the skills of a Arcane Archer, with no expansions into other schools.
-Mage [Schools of Magic include: Healing magic, Necromancy (More Dark magic than summoning, based on controlling the flow of life rather than raising the dead.), Elemental Magic (Will include Fire, Lightning, and Ice), Interferance Magic (think buff/debuffing), and Time magic]
-Archer [Schools of Archery include: Arcane Archery(Elemental attacks combined to arrows), Rangership, Longbowsmanship (Think Artillery), Shortbowsmanship (think fast firing assassin style), and Traditional Archery]
-Warrior [Schools of Fighting include: Guardianship (Tank), Barbarity (weak but heavy hitting drawing power from a loss of control and primal energies), Lancership (Longer ranged melee), Martialist (think asian styles, including Samurai. Based more on controlled actions), and Thiefhood (short range but deadly and stealthy)
-Druid [Schools of Druidry include: Lycanthrope (we all know that one), Shaman (a separate school of Interferance Magic focusing on weather), Earth Magic (Geomancy), Taming (gaining control of wild animals etc.), and Forest Magic (plant and poison based spells)
-Holy Warrior [Schools of the Divine include: Priesthood (hand to hand) Clericship (Fighter who casts divine damage and healing spells), Paladinship (Fighter who casts divine interferance magic), Sanctorship (Divine Mage using Light and Sun magic), and Avatarship (Can be possessed by angels to gain different abilities)]
Diablo III: The Rise of Sin's characters will be defined by four different factors: Traits, Skills, Talents, and Abilities.
Traits are a characters Stats, some are automatically increased when a school's skill increases, and some are chosen by the character with "trait points" (2 per class level), similar to Diablo II's stat point system. The Traits are: Strength (affects physical damage and attack speed), Dexterity (affects ranged damage and speed, and general non-magic accuracy), Focus (Affects Magic damage and cast speed, also affects skill accuracy), Energy (Affects the amount of mana a character controls as well as mana regeneration), and Vitality (Enhances Life and Defense of a character as well as life regeneration).
Skills are a characters main tools. These are the spells and weapon skills used in combat. A character can choose a new skill in a particular school for every 6 class levels. Also, for every 11 school levels, a new skill is automatically chosen from a separate list.
Talents are points that enhance your skills, focus them, and make them more useful. For every class level, a character gets a talent point that can increase a spell or weapon skills damage, or make a healing spell more effective, and so on. These are similar to Diablo II's skill points in that you can choose how much to enhance a skill, or not at all. They are different from Diablo II's skill points in that you cannot choose new skills with them. That is for skill points.
Another Feature of Diablo III: The Rise of Sin's class system will be its unique ability system. When you combine different schools for your charater, a new set of abilities your character can wield is is created. For Example: A Mage the specializes in Elemental and Time Magic could have combine its schools to augement its abilities. Say, a fireball could be sped up by time magic to go farther and faster, or slowed down by time magic to create a lasting "burning" effect. Another option could be to combine the Lycanthrope and Barbarity schools, as this would give the Lycanthorist a more savage, melee based style. There are hundreds of different combinations, and each school can be used to augment another. Each Class can have up to 34 abilities total, one every three class levels (including level 1 and 99). Some are passive, some are user activated.
This all seems very confusing, but I have prepared an example of the level up process.
A character is created at level 1. The player chooses the Warrior class, trained in the Martialist and Thiefhood schools. At level 1, a character can not yet choose a third school. Also at level 1, he gains 2 skills and 1 ability. Since he picked the Martialist and Thiefhood schools, he gains the skills Pickpocket and Controlled Attack. The Ability he gains is Shadowwalk, which lets him be unseen at night and in shadows to certain monsters.
The player kills some bad guys, and gains a level. He spends his talent point on the Controlled Attack skill, which increases its speed, damage, and accuracy. He also spends his 2 Trait points, one into focus, one into dexterity. He does this again at level 2.
The player kills more bad guys, does some side quests and gains his third level. At level 3, the player gains a new ability, and decides which school level will increase. He chooses Martialist to increase. The level also gives him the ability hop, an ability that can be used to cross obstacles or as an attack to jump right to an enemy.
The player kills some more and levels some more, and gains his 6th class level. At level six, he is now a level 3 martialist and level 3 thief. He gains a new skill point to choose a new skill with. He chooses the Focused Attack skill. This allows him to stab an enemy with deal high damage and perfect accuracy after a short waiting time. He also gains a new ability: Ki Charge, which allows the player to spend his entire mana reserve on one skill to amplify its damage.
This process of leveling continues until the player is level 33. At level 33, a character can choose a third school, from any class, to further specialize itself. Choosing a third school is not necissary, but it can increase the number of abilities your player can wield. A third school also limits the number of skills a player can use. Making it a tradeoff, but one that is not a bad desicion to make.
Hope this has cleared things up a bit.
Holy crap, I can't believe I wrote that much. Please forgive me.
Oh, yah. One more thing, if its not as cool as *I* think it is, then its ok, cause I dont know whats cool and all. I have an afro.
I just have to say: the idea of having JLo in a diablo movie was horrible. Excuse me while I wash my brain with some bleach, lol. The woman is hideous and her gigantic *** is a deformity.
*gags*
.... BTW.. Band of Brothers was a great movie :)
Before I forget... Some of you guys were pretty harsh when it came to the Zon, lol. Bowzon's do suck, but Javazon's don't. Maybe it's just my opinion, but they're pretty good, actually.
and i think any movie with her in it might follow Gigli...ARRG...must now destroy brain for think of that...
Kai. i think that would be pretty cool, of course you would have to change a few things and balance everything out, but it could work, you could tweak the story a bit and change the name and have a completely new and original game, good ideas :)
I HAD AN AFRO 3 DAYS AGO!!! i got sick of it and made my mom chop it off.
i grew it out for 5 months and a single strand of hair was 5 inches long O_O
...O well back 2 the ideas. Good idea kia, but the schools of classes actually seem LIMITED to me. o well u might not wanna use Azmodan... sound 2 much like WarCraft.
