I know, but rep should have nothing to do with being considered a veteran member. I have 20 rep right now but does that suddenly make me not a Veteran? Over 2k posts and being here WAY longer than 90 days should though.

I agree whole heartedly with you Spoon. Although I don't really care if I get the 50 reputation points to become "Veteran" member so I can delete my own posts and give rep, I never gave rep when it was introduced here either. But you could change the title like Spoon said. Can't think of anything at the moment though.

*shrugs* Really I do not see anything wrong with the way it is or the name. It's not like verteran's get a second title that says "Verteran Member" when they get to that point or anything, I dont know if the regular title changes if you dont have a custom one. Most of the new people though, and even some of the older members, have no idea that there is a specific name for the status. Now if there was some distiguishing feature that appeared in verteran's post each time to indicate that status I would understand your..."complaint" but since there is not I think its rather pointless or more of an ego thing.

But hay its your ego not mine.

[BTW I just think of myself as the tech mod. I could care less about some title that says "Veteran".]

My complaint is that people will be flaunting "Hey I'm a veteran" because they won a contest for reputation points and spamed for three months. So my complaint is more for annoying people who don't deserve any special title or treatment. Foog was the first to get it and he is someone who I would consider "veteran" at this point. But do to placing those standards there will be many annoying "veteran" members.

He should have been banned for the sheer stupidity of his s/n. Pen or Muffin. How can you even compare to completely different objects like that? Just baffles me is all.

lol what is the qwest.net isp is that his internet and how do you know like his ip thing thats crazy will it like not allow him to go in internet??? just wondering

as for the vetran titile i think its great just somthing to work for shows that your trying to help around here and not just comenting on the stuff...but thats ok too its just to award those who go above and beyond

Not Foog, Its Fuggle. :P I havent used my Vet status besides one time i dont think. I did kinda gloat for a bit til Mark over here changed everything in my sig and im too lazy to fix.
Anyways if I can get Vet status for rarely doing anything, then anybody else should have no problem with it,

I went above and beyond by making a few joke threads and i think rushing people time to time. Its not that difficult.

I don't think winning a wall papper contest is "above and beyond" I think it's kind of defeating the person of the reputation points. "OmgZ! Your designs r t3h 1337! *Gives 1 million rep points*"

personally i dont think the wallpapers matter that much..i mean its just pictures of things you put together..just cuz someone gets you one is it fair to give them crazy rep points?

Anything that adds on to d2sector, answering Q's for peeps, Giving free items to people in need, Createing sig's or Bg's for people, Rep Contests, Reporting violations and threads going off topic that need to be closed, and poeple should get more rep points from mods for just being a nice or cool person from time (2) time.

That's exactly what we had before when anyone could give out reps. It got out of hand, then they were reseted and limited to only mods.
