    It's a way of just wasting forum space and removing that rule could mean more spammyness. Plus, it's like a noob filter, since they enjoy double posting. I do believe, however, that you should be able to double post if the topic is over like... 3 days old and you've actually got something important to say, otherwise nobody will read it because I don't think editing brings the post up.

    You can bump trade threads, theres a rule for it somewhere, It's somthing like you can bump them a total of 2 times, and only 24+ hours after the threads made and 24+ hours after the last bump.

    Chesh said he would do that, if it would'nt take forever, it can take hours to do the tiniest things.

    Yup thats true, trying to do something on a forums can take up to hours or even days to script.
