Eth Exile--Question!!Please reply

I have a question regarding making an eth exile shield for my pally.
I got the runes and all together, but im wondering if the shield that I got to make it in will work.
It is:
Eth Superior Kurast Shield.
Stats: +74 to AR, 15% to max durability, 38%enhanced damage, and 11% enhanced defense. Its defense is 287.
Anyone, please tell me if this shield is good or will even work for an exile.
Or if you have a good eth 4 soc shield with Res, msg me. My Account is Laturasatana-HK non ladder USWest.

the shield is ok you might be able to find something better if you do a few hell runs

well if it's 4 socketed it'll work quite nicely

however i'd probably save that many high runes for one thats closer to 60% ed :) just a tip... but that could take a while so if you don't wanna wait go ahead w/that 1

hmm....i thought someone told me not to make runewords out of a eth item?(maybe only for rw which has Indestructable mod on it)

Save the exile runes for an eth vortex shield.

The exile runeword adds a mod which repairs 1 to durability over...either 20 seconds or 2. anyhow you know where i am going with that.

yup runewords only work in normal and eth items so ........

I don't think that's true....my friend had a superior 3 socketed archon plate and made an enigma with like 1350defense, so this idea that superiors dont work isn't true.

you saw wrong unless it was on open and made by an editor.

i have tried to make runewords in superior items before and it didnt work.

if you want to try an easy one, get a ral + ort + tal and any 3 socketed superior shield and tell me what you see. ive done this before and it doesnt work.

yeah i saw a 412% botd because the zerker was superior swear to god.... he got a p one and had a superior... had the %dura added too... it sold on ebay for like 50 bucks lmao

Well, i checked it out on closed b.net, and here are my results:

as you see, i decided to go with a really simple runeword, strength. i bought a superior spiked club from charsi, and i put in the 2 runes, amn and tir. the result was a sucessful runeword, but it just wasnt a superior spiked club anymore, just a regular spiked club. trust me that that is the same spiked club in both pictures. well, i guess thats it, enjoy :

ok so i was half correct. the item doesnt stay superior, so in essence, it doesnt work in superior items =P

Maybe it's an Ancient's Pledge bug because I've been making Rhyme Shields out of Superior Grim Shields since .09. I just made Stealth out of a Super Scarab Husk on ladder. Check out the attachment. Although, the word, "Superior," was removed after I added the runes.
