Well, I was tele'ing around and found this. This only happens in random games.

I have a strong feeling this has something to do with the Standard of Heroes thing.

This is the first time i've seen, ever. In all the rushes i've given in my day, I have never come across this platform.

If anyone uswest nl wants to come have a look see, feel free, I'm gonna keep the game up for awhile.

It's always been there. Sometimes I used to mistake it for the Hellforge platform.

dude ive run into that a lot also but i have no clue what it is and its new im a "pro rusher" and ive never seen it in 2 years untill 1.11 so im wondering what it does....

As to the question of what the Standard of Heroes is. It's a charm-like item that is meant to be a trophy for beating the Uber Tristram. Although there is speculation that it may do something else. I've even heard that it allows you to not lose experience when dying. Though nothing is really confirmed.

I know the SoH is more than a trophy, It's a key to something. You can't sell it to a merchant, and only quest items are not sellable. So it's got to lead to somewhere somehow.

That it has something to do with the mysetious Gem.

There are several versions of this theory, but nothing has been confirmed.

That it can be socketed in items.

This has been verified false, this cant be done.

That it can be sold to an NPC (ie Malah, Jamella, Cain etc.)

Well, reguardless whether it does anything or not. Blizzard sure did get people thinking with that little addition.

I'm pretty sure the "no exp lost with the SoH" thing is fake; i've died with it in inventory and i still lost what seemed like the same amount of exp.

uh just to clear thing up guys, soh isnt a normal item, its a unique, but yet doesnt need to be identified
it makes the sound of a charm, but yet doesnt write "keep in inv to get bonuses"
has absolutly no known stats and has lvl 90 req
it takes up 1x1 but when u drop it its as big as a staff
and no it doesnt unlock some secret area in river
ITS NOT A CHARM GODAMNIT!! charms usually have stats..
its like the prime evil keys, they make the sound of a key but cant open chests

my opinion is that it must be cubed with an item to do sumtin

It's not a unique item, or else it would be that goldish color. It's in the category of these un-used items that have no real use on their own; this category has items that either have no use at all or can only be used in conjunction with other items in some way. Other kinds of these items include the 2x1 keys (originally blizz was going to use these as a key called the Blacktower key but is now being used as the 3 keys: destruction, terror, hate), body parts (like the ones that go with the World Event, and those used in act3 to help create khalims will and smash the compelling orb to open up durance), and there are other items that i don't feel like listing. all of these items can't be sold, you can hold multiples of them, etc.

i havent tryed that yet but i dont think that will work... i think it has something to do w/ a key or something mabey u can mute it w/ something or mabey you can do something or u can sell them to people or keep them untill we find a answer
