warcraft 3 is nothing like diablo. Diablo is fun to play over and over again, w3 isnt.
plus i think b.net sucks for w3.
i never even wanted to try war3 on bnet. like i said after the campaign i really didnt want to play anymore...wish i could have rented it or somethin instead of bought it
i played w3 on b.net cuz my ip is banned for now...
im so frieken bored, ive played bball, hockey, other video games....
i havent been playing diablo much last few days cause my chars keep getting killed for ridiculously dumb things that arent my fault grrrrr

was similar to diablo 2 =)
Lol, first time i got online with NWN, I joined some random game.. and it was the NWN version of diablo 1 lol. there was tristram as the town and you went into the caves n stuff (i havent played d1 so i dont know what else was similar) but there griswold and deckard cain etc. i uninstalled nwn so i wouldnt have the map any more.Originally Posted by KoAx KiLz

no game will ever be worth p2p in my opinion, i utterly dispise the concept
If they did make a D3, I would buy it. :)
i have guild wars, but I cant play it whithout my comp lags, ahh wat, i gonne buy myself a new one in one of the upcomming months
back on topic, its a great game for so far i've played it :)
i no some people who have been hardcore gamers and they say that guild wars takes some stradegy because theres not alot of items u have to have the right blend of skills and stuff cause in like d2 if u have and enigma and a hoto and all that godly gear u would own
idk if any1 has already said this,...... but you never really "own" in Guild wars.... the game is actually very well programmed. No matter what kinda char you are.. you cannot do anything in the game without atleast 1 or 2 teamates, whether they be henchmen or not... The majority of the monsters in the game are actually higher lvl then you are (chars max @20, mosters go to like lvl 35 or maybe even higher, ive only seen 35) but if you are looking for a game that is close to D2.. definatly at least demo GW, you will not be dissapointed in it.. the game is elite to every other MMORPG out there right now.. WoW included.
Yeah, You can't solo anything in GWs. Except for the beginning where there are no henchmen.
what are henchmen? are they like mercs in d2? can you get more than 1?
yea in Guild Wars you can have more than 1 henchmen in the post-searing world... just nvm that.. aaahhh the number of party members you can have slowly increases throughout the game.. (as the game gets harder) so therefore, if you dont feel like traveling with other players.. you can make a party of yourself and NPC Henchmen that will fight with you.. and only take a share of any gold you aquire.
I also have to suggest Ragnarok Online, it's quite alot of fun. It doesnt have a complex storyline like the world of Diablo does, but it does have quite a complex character creation system. You start off as a Novice, then you choose your 1st job class, and when your high enough level, you can change to your 2nd job class, and your given two choices.
For example, if your a Merchant, you can choose to become a Blacksmith or an Alchemist. Both choices have their own huge list of skills and abilities, a BlackSmith can forge a variety of weapons and refine materials or boost their weapon wielding abilities, increasing their attack power, speed and to hit %, while an Alchemist can make healing potions and all kinds of explosives that can cause huge damage and break enemies equipment, they can also create artifical life by summoning various kinds of plant monsters, and even raise a Homunculus to support them in combat.
Every 2nd class pretty much has two or three different types of "general builds", along with builds that are hybrids. Ragnarok focuses alot more on the skills you use and where you allocate your stat points as you level than your equipment really, however, those that enjoy looking for rare items will have plenty to do as well, getting slotted gear, level 4 weapons and cards.
Even after you hit level 99, there's still more to do, you can rebirth into an advaced class, starting off as a High Novice, you then become the advanced version of your 1st class, and then your 2nd class, which unlocks some new much more powerful skills. You also get an extra max HP+SP growth bonus as you level up, along with extra stat points and bonuses.
Finally, RO has the Guild Wars or "War of Emperium". If you lead a guild or your in another players guild, you can attack another guilds castle and try to take it over by searching for the emperium room and breaking the emperium. By taking over guild castles, you can gain access to the guild dungeons where very high level monsters spawn. The leader of a guild can also entire the treasure room and open chests once a day and get very high quality and rare items. The more castles you have, the more treasure chests you can open. You can also hire automated guardians to help protect your castles.
Overall, RO is quite a bit of fun, however, it really depends on what server you go to play it on. The offical servers have huge populations, but extremely slow experience and drop rates, not to mention alot of asshole players, botters/looters/killstealers, and it just gets lame sometimes. However there are private servers out there, and some of them can be alot of fun if they rised a good community, however some of them can just be garbage. Some may have custom stuff, or high exp/drop rates, etc. It all really depends on your playstyle. I personally like low-medium rates with minimal custom stuff, and a nice small population of players I know.
they are a lot more useful than mercs, there are different types of henchmen: cultist, healer, brawler, fighter, mage, archer and enchanter.Originally Posted by Bloodangel26
when u form a party of henchmen, the healer is the most important.
i can figure out the function of the rest, but what does the cultist do?
