Runescape has a free version, and a p2p version.

Guild Wars is, imo, much better than D2 in terms of everything BUT ability to be played, lol.
1.2GHz processor, 256 RAM, a GeForce FX 5500 OC graphics card and this thing lags to high heaven in towns and sometimes in the world map.
    the graphics are simply beautiful.
The classes are nice, gameplay is where it's at though. Perfect.

Cerum how are you rating guild wars if you obviusly dont play it? Guild Wars is a horrible game compared to diablo 2, you beat it once and you are so tired of it you never wona play it again.

he says hes tried to play it but his comp cant handle it so maybe hes got a few glimpses of it and thats what hes basing it off of. maybe he would get sick of it too if his comp let him play it long enough to beat it

If you like the top-down perspective of d2, i could suggest a few games like D&D: Temple of elemental evil, or baldurs gate, those are some good games but they are based on D&D rules, im not sure if you would get in to them, or you could try Dungeon Siege or Neverwinter nights.
would u be able to give me websites to those video/pc games websites that describe they game play and such

yes but unfortunately WoW is p2p and i am very much opposed to that system..buying the game should be payment enough.

also many people are leaving d2 as protest for blizz's actions and by going over to WoW they would be giving blizz even more money than they would by buying new cd keys for d2 which would make the switch pretty pointless

    I agree with Blood
If I pay 50 friggin dollars for a disc, what right do you have tof orce me to pay 15 a montht o play it?!
    It's ludicrous!

WoW is by FAR, the best MMORPG. It's high system requirements is the only downside, but it's worth the money to upgrade your comp.

I'm BUYING a new compter to play WoW next week, thats how f*cking good it is.

I haven't played GW myself, but I've heard from almost everyone I know (Hardcore RPG fans) that GW sucks, and that it shouldn't qualify as a RPG, but a world you can f*ck around in.

If your not into playing the monthly fee (which I somewhat agree with) you should play Ragnarok on a private server, it's got low system requirements, and it's really fun for a few months. Ragnarok, is like an anime version of D2, and instead of satanic demons, you got cute little monsters (some will argue).

Guild Wars had beautiful graphics and an amazing secnery at the beginning (where everything was peaceful). the only thing i hate is that i picked an archer and his ias is really slow! like 1 arrow per 1.5 seconds. but i like the freedom in that game and it just like d2, trade equipment skills. oh yeah the skills, they are very good in terms of graphics. this game is not just point and click like d2, u sometimes have to use both keyboard and mouse to play. overall i think its better than d2, but i hate how there is a far less range of variety of items in that game.

when ur in a guild (clan) you get a nice sexy cape.
