Thread: CD key problems

    Unhappy CD key problems

Ok I was stupid enough to try out easymap on battle.net and got my account removed and my cd key banned.

From what i was able to find out it might "just" be for 30 days, anyone know if that is correct?

Also i went out and bought a new copy of the game to get a new cd key and start over from scratch but now when i have reinstalled the game with the new key i get the same message when i try to login to battle.net "CD key has been disabled..." Even though i made a new account instead of using the old one.

Any one know how that can be? is it in fact an ip ban and not a cd key ban as they write?

Hope someone can help me out.

I'm afraid that is impossible for me since i have a static ip. Just weird that they write that the "cd key" has been banned.

I'm using the new cd & key that i just bought.

    hiya

did u manually remove the cdkeys from the registry cause if u didnt then it will still think its using the old ones.

run regedit and delete everything with diablo on it. then reinstall.

    hope that helps

Good suggestion i don't know why i didn't think of that but it didn't solve the problem. I searched for diablo and battle.net in the registry and deleted what i found but still the same problem. Does anyone know where exactly the key are located?

only thing i can suggest is uninstall diablo, do a full seach on your hard drive for any mpq files and delete it and also delete the diablo 2 folder. do a search on regedit for diablo and also key (delete anything that references back to diablo)

Only thing i can suggest, other option would be a full windows install.

i hope your not trying to use the same old classic cdkey that was banned along with your old exp cd. if so. and nothing else posted above works. go buy a new classic cd and try that.

as u can c, u only need a classic cd-key. so go return ur copys of d2 exp and get classic ones

At least the cd keys are only 30 days. I think bnet figured a lot of people didn't antcipate that blizzard was going to actually ban for using maphack so this is like a warning.
