I like rock but not a lot of heavy metal. Take note of the fact thaat rap requires little or no musical talent compared to rock where as rock musicians actually ahve to know the key they are in and what scales to use for thier solos. Rap to me is one repetitive beat that is made on a machine. Stop the madness!

well i like metal, rock, techno (rave and some trance included), and some OLD rap and non GANSTER rap (beastie boys thats about it for rap). and off topic i hate EMO with a passion greater then a hundred thousand suns...on the first page someone said something about sandstorm...i have a 40 min. version done by a colab of artists...it is the awesome. well i need to get to bed...later

Even though i rarely agree with Kraka, and most of his shit is rather badly written, and the fact that i usually HATE rap, You really do have to check out Mos Def Tabil Kweli and Immortal technique. I severely hate the shoot niggas big butts do drugs and expensive cars type of rap, but i have respect for artists like that, they're political musicians and they express their opinions through music.

Listen to the song The point of no return by Immortal Technique before you judge it. You'll probably aqppreciate it.

. Anyway i like metal(rock) over rap becuase there's more of a focus on the music in rock than rap. Rap is just the same beat over and over. Plus there are many different kinds of rock, but do you really hear raps songs that dont swear or have some kind of reference to sex?
