cold sorc? i thought Eldrich is immune to cold... unless i maybe talking about a wrong monster. sorry if i'm mistaken

He is, but if your merc has infinity, which lowers all resistances, he wont be immune to cold anymore which means you will be able to kill him.

NO U CAN'T not with bot because the the infi skill doesn't reach far enough. On ur own u can do it ofcourse but the bot can't get close

no u cannot, infinity only removes lightning immunes, no fire or cold. therefore u cannot do eldritch or shenk. you need a pindle script.

Ifinity (or conviction) lowers Fire, Cold and Light resists and lowers defense. Therefore it does not lower all resistance. Originally Posted by Wozza

A cold sorc can but her helper cant be using infinity, he has to be using doom cuz doom lowers cold res 40-60%.

infinity is a polearm used on mercs. lvl 12 conviction > 60% lower ( i think i did not calculate) Originally Posted by UGLYJAM

I have a cold sorc with Doom Zerker on the sorc and a 5/-5 cold facet in her shako and a infinity on her merc. Monsters that are cold immune, remain cold immune. For some reason infinity does burn through (most) lightning immunes but the doom + conviction, doesn't. Perhaps a bug, who knows, but my answer is not hypothetical like some people's, it is based on experience.

lowers all resistances and defense..your doom and whatever might not have enough -resists to break an immunity...also it probably works like ice mastery...ice mastery lowers resistances significantly but it cannot break immunities no matter what Originally Posted by Arreat Summit
