Seems alot of people have been paying too much attention to the wild rumours that run rampant through Battle.Net, or are unsure about what is actually correct. I figure I'll iron out some of the more commonplace facts for reference. Feel free to PM me with additions.

Realm Down aka C/I
Your connection has been temporarily restricted from this realm. Please try to log in at another time.
Explanation
This is a temporary realm-only IPBan. The main reason for this ban is creating/joining games too fast (explained later). It generally lasts @ 30-60 minutes but has been known to last much longer. This IPBan is not given for maphack or botting offenses, a full ban (explained later) is instigated in these circumstances.
Solution
There are numerous ways around this IPBan. The first (and most obvious) is to slow down your game creation rate. If that doesn't float your boat try the following-
:: For dial-up users, a simple reconnection ought to do.
:: Static IP users with a Network Connection should try opening the command prompt and typing "ipconfig /release" to clear their connection and then "ipconfig /renew" to be assigned a new IP.
:: Static IP users without a Network Connection should use WinSocks with a viable socks4/5 proxy. Tutorials on this are available everywhere. Try Google.

Creating/Joining 20 games in an hour will give you C/I
Explanation: This is a myth. While there is a good chance you will be banned for creating/joining that many games in an hour, that is not how the system works. In order to prevent bot adapation based on constant figures, blizzard has opted to use a fixed + random integer logic in order to provide a controlled yet slightly random games/time ratio.
Solution: See Realm Down aka C/I

How does banning work?
Explanation: If you are detected for use of a maphack, bot etc etc, you will be banned. This ban is not just realm-only, it is all Battle.net. If this is the first time your CD Key is banned, the ban will only last 30 days, however if you are banned a second time, it is permanent. Only your Classic CD Key will be banned not LOD. Your account that the 3rd party program was detected on will be closed indefinitely, however at this point in time only detected accounts will be banned, not others tied to the CD Key.

Using Meteor causes a 25/50% XP Loss to all party members
Explanation: This is rather silly. There WAS a bug @ 2 years ago that resulted in this effect, however it was quickly cleaned up and now, here, in the present, meteor is just as viable for obliterating critters for XP as any other attack.
Solution: Ask the person who complains about this what rock they have been living under for the past two years.

Standard of Heroes removes XP loss on death
Explanation: Myth. Standard of Heroes does absolutely nothing. One would think the lvl 90 req is something of a "Chat gem". Just there to cause conjecture.
Solution: Keep it. Throw it. Leave it. It's all aesthetic baby.

Glitching Baal Runs
Gist: Only works in an 8 Player game, only works in Hell. The lowest player (doesn't need to be, just for efficiency) leaves party after the first set of spawns (Colenzo and his warped ones). The player then rejoins party after the second set of spawns (Horadrim and skele's). The theory is that this will somehow glitch the experience so that when the player rejoins b.net treats the game as having 9 players and sets XP accordingly.
Reality: Look, I've tested this extensively between the levels of 80 and 96 and I can't see even a slight difference on the XP gained. This also goes against the theory that XP is capped after 5 players join (or not, see below). This may have been an exploit at some point in the recent past, but I don't believe it works now. Proof otherwise is welcome.

XP maxes at 5 players
Explanation: It has been a common theory that the increase in XP per player in game stops after 5.
Reality: This is incorrect. The XP WILL increase when the 6th/7th/8th player joins but the extra gain will cumulatively decrease after in fact the 4th. The difference between 7-8 Players is very minimal.
