but wouldnt u think that some parts where we came in at, some of the iraqies were not exactly fighting us cuz they didnt want us to be their but because they were afraid of saddam, so they fought because if some how suddam and/or his sons would find out that they let us in with no problem, they would kill them neway.

im not to big on politics im just here for the learning and i was hopeing*if these made sence* that you guys can help answer some questions.

    Just a thought.

Did anyone actually think Iraq could do anything even close to pull off a victory? Why be scared of someone when you know that its over once you see the power of the enemy. Hmm, for people who dont understand the US, Ez Pked, Iraq and there was no doubt that they would lose. Also I would imagine that even if we didn't win Saddam couldn't kill all of his people. There for they shouldn't have been any fear.

Well Iraq is doing their job, keeping Bin Laden in hiding and that's all the U.S. needs if they can't find weapons of amss destruction. But Bush says he wants to keep troops in Iraq when they still haven't found anything for months but U.S. getting tapes related to Al-Queda of a terrorist threat

I like to thank Frogman for making my awesome sig!

We don't need to find anything its over. We are there to help sustain order and to ensure that the job gets completely done. Meanwhile, we train police offers and help them establish a government.

oh but i thought the entire reason for being there was to hunt down bin laden not to take out sadam and stablize iraq and while this is happening bin laden is preping for another attack on your homeland or some random nation
gj with iraq but what about the us theres still a faction out there laying in wait for the oportune time to strike and dealing another blow to the once thought super power that cant stop it

Uhm, the object of Iraq never involved Bin Laden though by going into Iraq we have drawn out several terrorist organizations. Bin Laden was the reason we sent troops to Afghanistan where we still haven't found Bin Laden himsef but we did he get his #2 man.

We found nukes loaded with Sarin gas about three weeks back, where have you been?

If you guys ask me, Bush's statements in the address are becoming more and more true. On the side, we are disestablishing terrorist groups that have threatened America for many years (I'm guessing 15ish), we are assisting in establishing a government for people who have been opressed by a now behind bars dictator, and we have discovered WMD's buried underground that could have been used to attack the U.S. or other world powers (wonder where they have put others).

Also, I read in a post a few pages back someone said something about "Why don't we attack North Korea, we know they have WMDs?" Well, you are misinformed my friend. We only know that North Korea has the capacity to build nukes. Now, the likeliness of them having a nuke by now is greater, but the quantity is unknown. They could have anywhere from one to ten WMDs. We we do not know if they actually have even one, keep in my nukes aren't easy to build and are very time consuming.

North Korea has tried to detonate nukes, though there was no telltale radiation trails left behind which either means their attempts were unsuccessful or just a bluff.

Funny how this got like zero media coverage.

because the media doesnt like to let people know bush is actually doing a good job...they like to feed the ignorant bandwagon bush-haters what they want to hear

I used to question our presence there but now I think it's justified.

There are factions making it clear they want to harm us, that they want every last one of us dead.

I don't think any of these should be treated as idle threats. If you get a death-threat in the mail with a return address, you'd damn well do something about it and not just blissfully ignore it.

With angers me the most is how our soldiers are percieved. They only get coverage if they are killed our court marshalled. What people don't realize are that these terrorists don't have the same mindset as we do. They consider our values on human rights as a weakness and exploit it at the prison. Soldiers say once the prisioners realized that they weren't going to be tortured, they tried to resist knowing that every action we took against them would be blown out of porportion.

Pretty soon the only way to keep them in line was to completely sequesterate them or just smack them in the back of the head with the butt of your M4

I think it's hilarious that people still think that we aren't wanted there...when there are Iraqi citizens coming up to shake the hands of our soldiers and get pictures with them all the time.

I don't know if that was sarcastic or not, but if it was it is because the media never covers good stories. In fact, it wasn't just the media, Bush didn't even make a big deal out of it because he knew it would be childish, just like it was childish of everyone blaming him for going over to the Middle East when he was given bad intelligence from 3 seperate agencies (which has now been proven worthy since a month ago we did find WMD's).

I think what is happening with Bush's presidency is what has slowly been progressing since Clinton. The people of America expect the President to do everything. Why else do you think everyone blames Bush for everything, even the shit he doesn't have control over. So, due to the people of America complaining that the President is screwing everything up, the President in turn takes it upon himself to do just that, become more powerful. He starts to command over things that previous Presidents never even bothered with.

If you notice in the Constitution, it never actually states a limitted power of the Executive branch, so the ambiguity that is placed there allows the President to now act on the things that his people are disconcerted at him for so that he can maybe earn their trust and/or respect back.

Blame the people, not the powers at be that we put into place. We voted him in, we mad mouthed him, and due to our 'bad mouthing', Bush does what the people want. We are a democracy, America is run by the people.

I really don't care for or against President Bush, all presidents have had their downsides and they will. But the thing is, very VERY few people could legitimately do a better job. Theres more to being a president than commander-in-cheif and some of you need to realize that. Bush has done a great job on internal affairs and handling the illegal immagration things. Sure he's ****ed up foreign policy but it's not like he hasn't done some things good.

everyone hates bush because bush has magical powers, and bush didn't use those magical powers to stop bad things from happenning. Even if he did make good things happen in Iraq, that's not what matters. HE NEEDS TO USE HIS MAGICAL POWERS!

Bush's magical powers : Mind reading, resurrecting dead, turning evil into good, flying, picking up nuclear waste with his tongue, unlimited money comes out his ass.

umm, you're a ****ing retard. If that was remotely funny I wouldn't say anything but it's far from it, it's stupid, and it's half spammish.

p.s. you guys were right in that vet subject thing in the l337 forum, I remember old slimp now and he was the old math. I guess that's why nobody likes him.

no worrys slimp i thought that was funny ^_^

i like bush, i wanted to vote for him on both elections. it was unfortunate that the 9/11 attack was burdened on him. if that didnt happen we wouldnt of gone to war perhaps? and we are trying to make iraq a better place for all of their citizens. thats all. when the military accidentaly stomps on some houses they build it back and send relief to them. plus no matter how much houses they accidentaly stomped on, it will be better then the crazy reign of saddam which we caught . and we also killed al zarkawi? the terrorist leader. he posed a major threat against us. dont you think its really great that he is caught? yes the name was spelled horribly wrong >_< . so yeah, i like bush.
